And not just for the resists. I got one for my lvl 12 druid, died once in the process, also got the belt. It is better than the blackened iron medallion I had on him. At level 12, using the Mana=lvl/5, 3 wis is only 7.2 mana, and the BIM has no stats at all. this has ac, and resists. Just too nice, for a low level, or resist gear later on. My lvl 30 cleric also got one, but not better than his chrysoberyl amulet for everyday use, so it's going in the bank for resist gear. Still, really nice for the common drop it is, and the belt and pegasus feather headgear are just too sweet.
Anyone else notice this about the Events; Warriors get stuff Pallys get stuff Shadowknights get stuff Rogues get stuff Rangers get stuff
and then...
clerics/drudis/shaman have to share stuff necro/enchanter/mage/wiz have to share stuff.
This event was an obvious attemt at keeping membership high (and away from DAoC) It was unlike any other Halloween even yet and it's still going. You would think if they wanted to please so many people, they would get off thier duffs and make class specific stuff for everyone.
oh well. was a bit of fun anyway.

After spending a week in that zoo of EK (and I mean the PC zoo, not the NPCs), I have to agree however I feel the Clerics, Druids and Shamans were the worst off. I killed many things and the drops were mostly warrior but there were many necro/enchanter/mage/wiz drops in my kills also. Clerics, Druids and Shaman drops were the rarity in there I feel and when a Druid drop was announced it was swarmed on instantly.
At least I did get a few items out of the GM event and it was a rather fun.
My perceptions on the event are somewhat differet. I have two wis caster characters, and managed to get the headdress, the belt and this necklace for both. Didn't seem uncommon in EK. North ro didn't drop much for wis casters, so I switched events. As far as INT casters, that tome of unseen darkness was so common, if it were not lore, I'd have 3 backpacks full of them. Admit that warrior items did seem pretty common too, except for that awesome sword. I got 4 items for my warrior as well (not the sword). I don't think anyone "got the screwjob". Verant did a pretty god job of balancing items. The caster stuff was for multiple classes, but more dropped.
Overall, I thought it was a WONDERFUL event, lots of fun, dinged two characters, and got many nice items!
I have to agree but in my cass i saw more caster gear then warrior.pally. i only saw one pally dropable item and ive been in EC all week and today i saw it for the firt time
And forgot to mention they thought up a real nice bard mace, but the number 1 and number 2 damage deals (rogue and monk) don't get something nice like the flameweaver 13dmg 26del 110dmg proc of shock of fire plus 5 strength one handed blunt.
I have a level 9 bard I have not played in 6 months, I may move him to rathe and ninja loot from my necro. If I get a flameweaver, I WILL play the bard just on principle. But.. thats just me...
Of most of the stuff that dropped in the GM events for Druids (the earring rules), I just happened to already upgraded the slots the past few weeks...(porting is getting profitable)...
Figure at the level these would actually be useful to you, you may have better because yer trying to bring WIS to 200...but once it gets there, it's time to get Resists for raids, right? Save this necklace for the resists unless you can get better...
Anyway, I imagine I'll use the shawl for Raids (10 saves in 3 areas!)...
Got this at gm even in WC..guess its ok..but I wish they took away the resistances and gave it like 5wis..I wont wear it I will just keep it in bank as a souvineer of GM event..it was a fun time tho I just wish all the extremely high lvl people werent there Ksing all the lower lvls trying to get something for their chars...I mainly hung at druid rings summoning Free Brew for everyone in celebration...well good hunting and safe journey to all.
