As of Dec. 5th patch this no longer works. This and "faceted crystal" no longer cast scarecrow illusion.

Currently, right clicking this item will cause you to transform into a scarecrow. There isn't a buff icon for it either.

I believe this might be a bug... :)
Was working like this even on November 22 2007.
