Oh man why would anyone want EP pants over these? Took me a long time to get EP pants and I was very happy but a month later I got Quarm pants (VERY similar stats and effects to these almost exactly) and did not shed a tear. At this point in game I really do not need concussion and honestly never have that often.I have always felt the amount of time consumed with casting concussion often enough to make a real difference is lost med time.Like 10 concussions (assuming no resists) to erase the aggro of one average nuke? The mob will be long dead before I do much damage except in VERY long fights anyways. Yes I know it is more effective at lower levels but then you wouldn't be getting these anyways. The Tanks we use keep aggro well enough that I can burn a lot if I just watch what I'm doing. As was said earlier it's situational and easy enough to mem when ya need it, go for the stats.
BTW LOL Trax who the heck made you believe that? Resisted is resisted that means it does nothing (except raise aggro) if it was partial you would not see a resist message. I honestly mean no offense here but concussion at higher levels becomes irrellevent. If they had upgraded the spell as they did other spell lines (they did start it with the ancient which almost noone has)we would still have a spell worth having. Even using multiples of both to beat the recast timer doesn't add up very fast. In my opinion clicky concussion should have been on at least ornate pants if not something obtainable at a lower level than that even.

Trax is the one who is correct. Concussion even when resisted lowers agro. Just like resisted nukes raise agro. Also, concerning cast time. There is essentially no cast time for the clicky pants, as the click concussion is a 2 second caster, while the refresh on your big nukes is also 2 seconds. You cast nuke, then click pants while spellbar is dimmed, and when concussion lands you are set to nuke again.

So the most correct way to use the pants, is to nuke, click, nuke, click etc. If you get agro, then you can start double clicking for a few cycles. Or if the tank is really good, you can twist 2 nukes such as a rain and a normal nuke, and then the click for serious DPS. This has no effect on med time btw, you are chain nuking, preferably on a horse, unless your mana regen is horrid and you have no AAs and focuses for mana preservation.

Essentially it is totally free agro reduction. The arguments for and against upgrading to these pants are a bit harder when you consider those facts. The range focus to me is situational, I would rarely need that, and the avoidance and spell shield are nice, as are the boost in stats, but they are not nicer than click concussion... if you are a damage dealing wizard first priority. ;-)

Clicky concussion is commonly resisted on most mobs this deep into the endgame, many wizards find it better to pace their nukes and use Mind Crash for high end encounters.

Concussion is considered to lower aggro even when resisted. Replacing EP pants would be wasteful, unfortunately there is no alternative for it and it's not inventory clickable either.
Range VS Conc

Ok honestly if you have these legs, you are raiding, and if your raiding I'm hoping to god that your tank is keeping good enough agro to keep you from getting summoned. I can see if i had both of these keeping the other in my bag. I switch the god pants out for when we're doing a raid that requires lots of RANGE to miss an ae or something like that. I can see swapping them out and clickin conc a few times when i think im gonna get summoned or im in a group and summoning is actually an issue. The only time I've been summoned on a raid is when the tank has died, the tank keeps crap for agro, or i've been overnuking on trash mobs. Clicky conc *IS* nice but its a situational spell, i think you could use spell range any time your not using the conc
Maelins legs

Stats are better but I could never give up the concussion clicky. They had to include it as part of the set to bad they are worthless if you have elemental

A wizard that doesnt care about concussion clicky, cause you can just mem it and want better stats :)
