See invisible is very usefull for rogues who want to see them selves in 3rd person view while hidden. Aggro range is reduced while sneaking and sometime you need to see where you are while trying to get to a hard to reach place while hidden and sneaking, so as to make sure you are out of aggro range of a see invis mob. and being able to see yourself is a great asset in this.

I am a power gamer . I play 60-100+ hours a week. Ive seen alot and heard of a lot but the 10th ringwar is the funest time ive had in EQ. If you havent done it or your guild is too small to achieve it then find out when a large guild is doing it and tag along. You wont regret it . We had 100+ peeps show up for the raid last Weekend .Was overkill but everyone still had a blast. I am going to start quest just because I want to do the war again.=)

my suggestion - dont try quest unless u can listen and know what u doing, make sure u have grouped/quested/raided with the people u doing it with or the war u will go through to get this wont be a war it will be a masacre, and u will be getting masacred

What does it matter how much someone plays EQ, sounds like he's a happy to me. I think it's you that needs to get a life. Such ignorance is offensive. I know a guy who's crippled, he's got several computers so he can have LAN parties at home since getting around is a real innconveniance, which obviously means sex for him is nothing more then an intellectual concept. Did you ever consider that maybe other people have different priorities in life, and if it's not harming anyone then I say good for you. Perhaps not, because if that was the case you would have never continued this rediculus thread. My bet is that the motivating factor behind your post is jealousy. In reality you probably have a sub par computer, a low paying job, and an overweight homely girlfriend who doesn't let you play EQ as much as you like cuz she think's it's a waste of *her* time, so she makes you take her antiquing or some sh*t, taking your hard earned money away from upgrading your lame computer. I've worked in the computer industry for many years and anyone else who has will tell you the same thing, 9/10 nerd girlfriends are not hot by any means. And yes, playing EQ makes you a nerd, and posting on a computer game forum makes you a nerd x2.

If I see another person say wow, monk item on an uber item I'm gonna find where they live and kick their asses. Uber Items are not for one specific class, but for multiple classes, like most of the stuff in EQ, if you're gonna say an item is for a specific class you really need to get over yourself.

People flaming Bentos for having no life are truly pathetic. Coming to an EQ spoiler site flaming people is too low. Have you even bothered to read what is required for accomplishing this quest??? You need a complete frigging raid force to do the final battle!!! The effect on the ring (the main reason for doing this battle) is 6000hp regen over 600 seconds adding 10 atk ! It´s @#%^ing insane!

Who needs to be flamed? If you had bothered to read the post you replied to, you would have seen that he was talking about Bentos, the person who first completed this quest, and therefore had this item named after him. The person with the 9 PC's and multiple accounts is a completely different person who posted several months AFTER the post you replied to (and yes, HE deserves to be flamed!).

I honestly don't see how people can complain about the "uber" items in this game.
1) It's called EverQuest. This is because it is not a game with definitive and established goals; it has no concrete ending. There are those who joined the Quest in its beta days. These are the folks who, for the most part, are members of these uber guilds. There are those who have just answered the call of the Quest, and are just recieving their first PGT (remember that?).
2) To be in an uber guild, you have to be GOOD at the game. GOOD is something very difficult to attain. It involves concrete planning, organization and teamwork. Anyone who has ever led a raid (most notably pick-up raids), knows that this can be damned near impossible. If you are invited into an uber guild, you can consider it an honor. They are one of the best groups on your server.
3) Bentos of Triton (Povar) was the first to complete the 10th ring quest. At the time, it was an ACCOMPLISHMENT (capitalized to emphasize.) In the Quest, he is considered a legendary figure. He was the first.
I know it's kinda rambling on now... but unlike other games (it's kind of unique to the MMOG universe), there are heros. There are those who do what has not been done before. Is it wrong to bestow honors upon these people? 300,000 people play EverQuest. To have a first among that is quite impressive, and in my ever so humble opinion, deserves the recognition that a title on an item gives.
So, don't whine when people become recognized as heroes. It makes you look petty and jealous. If you want the honors, put in the work. Learn to work as a team with people. They are called uber guilds for a reason; because they are damned good at what they do.

I agree with you Claud. If Bentos wasn't the one to do it first, someone else would've done it. So like you said, some people do become recognized as heroes because they have the determination to go for it. If he didn't do it first, then someone else would've done it and would be getting flamed in place of Bentos. People just can't be glad and congratulate people when they do something that no one else had done which is pretty sad. People that flame other people should try to do something before everyone else and see if they get accused of having no life.

Zerging* only works on the easy raids....I'd like to see someone zerg Emperor Ssraezsha, Manaetic Behemoth in Innovation, or Rallos Zek's true form: an_expendable_goon_17 says, "Hey boss why'd we wipe this time?", a_raid_leader says "I dunno, I figured we could just throw endless numbers at him....who knew the god of war in the plane of tactics would require a strategy to overpower...?"
