Strikes me as odd that VI hasn't updated these... with Luclin there's the addition of the hand to hand skill, and since it is monk only I really doubt that they'd be complaining too much (cue flaming) about having another really nice upper end H2H weap.

Check out other Primal Velium, and Pricelss, all has same stats. Why would a Rogue for instance need Mana :P What? You didn't think the Shaman was actually gonna get Primal Spear did ya? hehe

Also, with that last message I posted, for primal, because they are better, you multiply the number by 10.

This item has mana because like all other priceless/primal weapons, ALL stats are increased by the same number. 5 for these, and the mana and hp are there because they are considered stats also. (the mana and hp are calculated by the number the stats are increased by, squared)
first thing id like to say ok your kina right, but beastlords use mana, thats hwy there is mana, im pretty darn tooting positive, if beats couldnt use there wouldnt be mana for the fact monks dont have mana, and being monk only theyd just leave mana off... or replace it among the stats to make one higher or just blank leave it out... and 2 what drops these, i want the one that proc avatar must be nice hehe great ol attack increase, and stats, and it lasts for 7 mins, withc means will last forever as long as your fighting because itll proc atleast 1 time every 7 minutes if your slowed for 7 mins :)

Verant could have forgoten to add the beastmaster class in. Thats why there is mana. Or in the SOL monks could be getting Ki powers.....

Come on guys the fact it is monk only it wouldn't have mana on it, and besides the yhave a damage bonus slot on it and since the damage bonus is only on 2h weapons somebody made this up. Only way it may be real is if its from the test server.

Yep its a clone of the 1hb that drops in Sleepers Tomb thats why it has mana all they did was make it weigh a lot less and made it monk only

Years ago, when Monk weapons were first coming into the mainstream, many Monks asked why everything was 1HB instead of HTH. Well, Verant stated that because of the way the code is written, they can't assign Hand To Hand as a skill used on weapons. I'm not sure why not, but apparently it's impossible given the way the code runs at present. Perhaps in some expansion after Luclin. For now, though, Monks have to settle for Blunt on their weapons. Hope this clears a bit up for you. Cheers.

I'm not saying verant didn't say that, but it can't be true. Even if they couldn't do it w/ the current coding, they could easily patch in new (and probably incredibly simple) coding to allow a weapon to use the h2h skill. The best reason i can think of to not make h2h weapons is that it ruins the idea of a monk purely using hands to fight. The only reasonable exception to this roleplaying standpoint, in my opinion, would be the monk epic.

Personally think they should have made it a prim/sec slot weapon that still used HTH for skill.
On the other hand it's sleepers tomb. How many monks will ever even have a prayer of having these? 1 in 1000? Sorta makes any arguement moot.
