Accually, it makes sence for a shield to ahve the best AC, shields by default are the number one line of defence. Accually i think its stupid that mobs (kunark) that are dropping the 40 ac or so class bps, trakanon to be exact, is about the same level as mobs dropping 25 ac shields. Not much thought went into that i can assure you. :o

I think the cleric class should be removed from this shield because they already have one uber item from Vulak'Aerr, Sal'Varae's Robe of Darkness. That way shamans will get there own item and clerics get there own robe, clerics would be pissed but it would make the shamans happy because they wouldn't have to go up against the 20 or so clerics in the guild (im thinking of the uber guild I know of) while the shaman numbers are far less, around 5 or 6. why shamans and clerics on this absolutely cool shield and yet not druids? if you say it's on a belief based thing, druids focus all of their power into the spirits of the forests and their dieties and stuff
if you say it's because druids already have too much good stuff, maybe you should look at cleric and sham stuff. TOTEMIC AND CLERIC QUEST ARMOR for instance, whereas druids get no original eq "uber" armor. How about the BP from trak for clerics that has CHeal? so what if it takes a while to cast (yeah shamans got shafted pn trak BP's-Barbcoat) and yes someone's gonna say druids get regen on trak BP...<oh well>

Totemic??? Cleric Quest armor?? those are for level 30's NOT level 55+. Very bad comparison. Very few, if any, people will still be wearing that at this level. NO one will if they are able to get this item. By now they have replaced it with the better planes and Thurg/Keal/SS armor, and also ToV drops. Which by the way Druids get too.

The only thing druids are good for on real raids is PotG and Circle of Seasons. That's it, most uber mobs don't flee. Druids are 'ok' as backup healers, I'd prefer a shaman, but then again I'm a cleric ~_~
Arguing about 'Who should get this' and 'Why doesn't X class get this but Y class does?' is pointless, VI doesn't look at Allakhazam's boards, you're waisting your time ******** and moaning. And it's kind of annoying to listen to a 12-year old try to list off reasons why his level 19 druid is better than my 57 cleric.

I'm a beta tester for Luclin, and I'm not supposed to do this, but you guys made me mad, talking mean to all the useless druids. They are getting a bit better in Luclin. Their superior healing is moved to lvl 45 and they get a 1.4kdmg nuke at 50, as well as the ultimate group spell. Their best regen, dmg shield, AC, HP buff (stacks with cleric's buff i may add), and atk buff into one spell. It costs a lot of mana, but is actually a lvl 57 spell. Get some lvls to use it for. Be nice to the suck *** druids, they are getting a new meaning in Luclin.
The reason that druids were left off this item is simple, it's called Rowyl's Metal Armguards. While most classes do not have their own specific class drop off Valuk, druids do. "no original eq "uber" armor, do a little more research please.

the ac on this is irrelevant to druids. a druid wouldnt last 5 seconds in melee with the mob that drops this shield.
im not even going to bother pointing out why the other stuff is wrong. but to summarize the other crap... thats all fine and dandy in groups, but it doesnt work in raids...

Don't get me wrong, I love all the druids that I play with, and I would not trade them for anything, but when I am raiding, I sure do not want them being my primary healer. NT rules, but that is at 60, and hence not as attainable as some other spells. Druids are a utility class, they do alot of things fairly well, but they do nothing really well. I don't know what the originator of this post was thinking, but snare is really the most useful tool of a Druid in Kunark and the Old World. When you go to Velious it is alot harder to snare those bastages, and hence Druids lose some allure. Druids don't suck, they are just not the gods you made them out to be.

Sorry druids, Cry me a river, Snaring- Necros, rangers, shadowknights, wizards, and even rogues *go Serrated bonedirk* can do it too. Back up healing? Paladins, shamans, rangers, hell even a Necro can do that, i know i have many times. Str buffing, go shamans, they get longer lasting, and better str buffs.. inaddition to GROUP str buffs, far as i know druids dont get those do they? Group beneficial buffs, Ok, every caster class gets that, wether its ok'iels radiation or Aegis of ro or Inner fire, every caster can get that. Evacs, yeah, yer 1 of 2 classes that can do that, grats. Damage shields, i would much rather prefer a magicians dmg shield, it is more dmg, and also gives Fire resist, whooohooo! this is to all you druids out there, stop freaking complaining, if you dont like that you dont get a few items then stop playing a druid and play a class that gets those few items you want sooo badly, quit your freaking whining for once.

Here is a good one, go look at all the gear that druids get, than look at shamans and clerics, see the difference? thank you.

lookiing at the fact that druids are leather wearers while shamans are chain, and clerics are plate, it's not that surprising to me that druid equipment has less AC

the reason druids dont have a lower level quest armor is because they couldnt wear rubi armor and when rubi was nerfed to stop dropping all classes who could wear it got quest armors
