You can bear it and scowl
or meet life hopping mad,
and you can whine and howl
if your heart is moon-clad.
Find in the darkest sky
a lining in the cloud,
but don't curl up and dye

The pattern will test you,

Purple and white
will not sit right.
Each one needs two
just to make do.
Purple is sad,
just a bit grey.
White is afraid
and will not stay true.

I think this is a recipe for (coloured?) hand-made backpacks. Every two lines describes an item.

Bear Skin
Wolf Skin
Silver Thread*
Dye
Backpack Pattern

Most of the colours can be made with one dye, but purple uses light blue and light grey dyes, and white uses light yellow dye and lye.

Does anyone have a link to the in-game lore that describes (or hints at) how to make the dyes, though?

Is that it states exactly. Bought it in bazaar off the merchant who sells the satchels.
