I was sitting to see if Black Dire was going to pop so I could dispatch him for my SHM's Epic piece when I get hit from behind by Equestrielle.
So I took off running toward GF zoneline when I realized the the nag was Dk Blue to my lvl 53 Ranger so being near the ZL I decided to see if she had followed me and there she was trying her best to hit me again. I figured what the heck and started hacking away and blasting her with my spells. Equestrielle got me down to 18% and I got her below 20% and she turned and started to stagger awy. I figure since she is runnning b4 I did that it would be my fight to win so I spell, spell, hack, slash and next thing I knew here legs were going out from under her and "You have killed Equestrielle, you gain experience." WOOHOO.
I looted the horn from her and left it in my guild bank for a bard to use.
Do not know how many total hit points she had but I do know I got hit more times than I wanted to for 401hp.

seems to me that its nothing more than a collectors item now...glimmer in the sand you could say just a peep at EQs past because if the mob is worthless someday they will be gone

The eye was for a quest associated with the "corrupted" version of Lesser Faydark. I don't think the quest was ever solved, and the zone was reverted back to normal except for Equestrielle herself after a few days because the
rewards were deemed too good for the effort.

I'll go with that, makes sense as a lot of things from that GM event time still hang around. As someone here suggested somewhere else, I tried giving the eye to Tunare, Pained Unicorn, Equestrielle herself and a variety of other mobs to see if it triggered anything but nada.

Guess we may never know.
Eye?

Some fellow killed it and left the eye rot, so I claimed it as my own. Now what is it used for? QUEST MAYBE? But what quest? Please send any info you find out.

Egads! U all must be uber ubers. I'm only a 14 Druid, huntin' the Bandit Daughters. Had a full load of loot and took it to the Ranger station.
Thought it was safe to Med up there ( in fact, I bound myself there for the quick return). Well, the next thing ya know, Equesstrielle the Corrupted comes RIGHT THROUGH THE DOOR! And, while the rangers chatted away, she clobbers me dead with one hoof! ( I think the other was tied behind her back!
So, I rez back and ,this time, I hunker down against the back wall. I'm all medded up and gettin ready to close the book, AND I'M BEING DRAGGED OUT THROUGH THE FRIGGIN WALL!
I think I'll change the bind point to someplace safer. Like the Chief's Orc Camp!

Sony denies it, but this horse's aggro range is completely different for druids than it is for any other class. Most classes wont get aggrod until they are practically on top of the horse, but she will aggro ANY druid within 1/4th the length of the zone. I have a 58 druid who has always gotten aggod by this horse if I am in the zone for more than 5 minutes, ever since my lowbie days. It wasn't until after level 40 I was finally able to best this black terror. All my other non-druid characters have roamed the zone freely since level 8 without ever once encountering the beast.

Tonight, my 56 druid got pretty close to the horse without getting aggro. Maybe 15 steps away.

I can't say I have tested what Syvarius said/a "quarter of the zone" but I always had the same experience with my druid pre 50 anyway, that she would agro from very very far away. Of course the good thing it taught me was that at max spell casting distance I could take her out fairly easily, but within normally safe druid distances, let alone melee range back then she would usually best me. While she is chicken feed by today's standards she really was a terror to be reckoned with back in the day.
As an aside, just in case someone instrumental reads stuff... Wouldn't it be a "good/cool" thing (and seemingly easy) to put back some of the legendary nerfs that certainly now seem to not in any way be over powered any longer? Like the charisma cloak quest from here or even items like the moss covered twig from Kunark (Casino doesn't count imo).
So many zones are bare now, even the cities have been depopulated, maybe it's just me, but I feel like there is finally enough content spread out for the more meager population that having something attractive in each zone even for us now demi-godly beings for our infinite twinks, boxes, hydras would be a good thing. Maybe make it a long quest but all with-in the one zone so folks have to learn the zone intimately, the nooks and crannies type of things we once did, when time and efficiency didn't rule us. Or like nothing old is really keyed anymore... put the "bag" key up in the tree as a "ground spawn" (even make it temp or not key ringable if need be)overlooking the pond that has the rock door entrance to the Hole, so you have to learn how to successfully jump off the balcony into the tree to get it. Or scale one of the giant Wizzy spires for a spawn, or I think they lowered Tunare's tree you used to be able to get up there and see all the swirling pre-spawns, it was tough tho, like rock climbing at first. Or in a few of the places that are to this day actually left off the existing mainstream maps (for the time being).
Just things to make the game remarkable and fun again. I used to love finding secret rooms and passages but with our GPS maps of today who's gonna bother or care. The game is so easy now so as to keep accounts and get new and younger folks to play. But everyone seems to be playing it like a "gamer" which makes it an almost disposable/undervalued commodity, and then gets bored or resorts to twinks just to try and keep playing their "investment". I still love quests and that's where I have my fun, but for most they are perceived as tedious and only rarely is the item worth the time - despite the name of the game.
Just seems like the time might finally be ripe...best wishes to all. Don't make a game work! End the grind -- say self: I am gonna do what I think is FUN today!

Killed Equestrielle last night. She dropped the horn fragments and Equestrielle's Eye. Still not sure what either are for. Second time she dropped the horn fragments out of two kills. First time I have even heard of the eye. Not sure what it is for either. If anyone has any info, I would appreciate it as well...

I found this item off the Corrupted Equestrielle in Lesser Faydark. Uusally he drops that horn. He is blue to me at level 52 with no faction hit. If anyone has any info on what this item is for I would really appreciate it.
