just for fun i ran around and killed all the elemental types and yes, it did drop off of all elementals almost every time...
Maulis Thefool, Ranger of the 86th season on Firiona Vie...
In Twilight Sea:
first kill was "an earth elemental" but that did not have it.
second kill was "a fire elemental" and there was a focus.
Off we go to the Scarlet Desert...

Got one off "an earth elemental". First thing I killed by zone in to fungus grove.

Got one off the 3rd water elemental I pulled after porting in to Twilight Sea.

it drops off all mobs in zone as far as i know
