Introduction to Power Sources

Power Sources have no stats of their own. They will modify INFUSIBLE equiped items stats, wich as far as I know only includes Energeiac gear. The gear will drain power from the orb until it is empty and the orb cannot be recharged. If you only have 1 weapon and no other INFUSED gear the power source will hold for roughly 47 hours, if you add a shield it drops to 24, and again for each additional piece of equipment.

The orb stats modifs are static for any piece of equipment regardless of the REC level or Purity.

can someone explain the effect this has on energeian weapons .I was under the impression that this power source caused energeian weapons to proc a root when equipped? I have a lvl 50 monk with a energeian weapon and this orb equipped.The chart http://www.eqwiki.net/wiki/Combine_Power_Sources suggests it will add a root proc. This is not the case,anyone know why??

is the powersource equipped into the powersource slot, next to the ammo slot in inventory?
what is the exact name of the weapon the monk using?
does the weapon have a purity rating?

perhaps try using the /feedback or /bug commands when in game , if you suspect the item is bugged or not working like it should be

edit:
looking at the earth procs, I notice the sixth one down, which is for bows, does not have the root proc on it. So if you are trying to get the root proc to go off via a ranged weapon, I don't think it will work.

Testing with Sculpted Energeaic Leather Boots (Purity 30)

AC 8 -> 9 = +1
STR 4 -> 8 = +4
DEX 4 -> 0 = -4
STA 4 -> 8 = +4
CHA 4 -> 5 = +1
AGI 4 -> 0 = -4
HP 60 -> 67 = +7
Mana 60 -> 67 = +7
