Vol. 9 No. 4

~ Baadin to run for
Kelethin Council ~

It's been confirmed that
Baadin Mosseytwig will
indeed be running for
Kelethin Council for this
term. There was some
question about Baadin's
past that had been delaying
the announcement, but it
seems that this minor
set-back will not be
affecting Mosseytwig's
decision and he will run
against incumbent Terry
Steeloak, who has served
Kelethin quite well

according to most folks.

We asked a local shop
owner, Kaldin Redleaf, what
he thought of Mosseytwig.

"Well, rumor has it that
while with the Emerald
Warriors many years ago he
attempted to slip his way
out of a very serious
battle with the Crushbone
Orcs. He of course denies
this and claims to have
been there, but I know a
few people in the Emerald
Warriors that have been
there forever and they all
agree, he dodged the
battle. Some excuse about
being hurt in training they
said, but it was all
nonsense.

Personally, I don't want to
see that coward on our
Council, I think I'm going
to vote for Steeloak again,
others should too!"

There is still some time
before the election and
there is still time for
other candidates to step
forward. The Kelethin
Courier will keep you
updated, so keep checking!

~ Strife Continues in
Freeport - Dark Elves
Remain Hostile ~

The attacks on Freeport
from the marauding Teir'Dal
gangs in the Commonlands
seem to be increasing since
our last report. All

citizens living outside of
the Freeport were ordered
to retreat to inside the
walls immediately by the
Freeport Militia.

Though the Temple of Marr
has not yet taken action,
it is believed that it'll
only be a matter of time
until they ride against the
Dark Elf murderers. Our
correspondent in Freeport
was able to speak briefly
with Guardsman Rhok, a
seasoned warrior in the
Freeport Militia.

"The Dark Elves are coming
and they want war. There's
no doubt about it, those
murderous scum will stop at
nothing to kill us all, but
we won't have it, no sir.

I'll kill every last Dark
Elf from Freeport to
Lavastorm if I have to.
There's no way I'll let
them hurt Freeport or any
of its citizens. I just
wish they'd give us the
order to attack. We could
crush them all with a
single stroke and then
Neriak will know the true
might of Humans and perhaps
make the wiser decision to
sit in their caves and play
the docile weakling elves
that they are."

With recent developments,
however, the omens speak of
a war to come. Even the
Guktans have expanded their
army and are preparing
camps throughout Innothule
to better protect its

borders. We spoke with
Guktan Elder Froops about
the rumors of war.

"Frooak! Well, you can
never be too careful. We
don't trust the Dark Elves
any further than we can
throw them. We want to
ensure our city is safe and
our citizens protected. We
strongly suggest that
anyone else that values
their homes to do the same.
We will not let those
foul beasts in to our city,
and better safe than sorry!
Frooaaaak!"
