This is now showing up in the Bazaar on my server as "Prize: Painting: Lord Nagafen. So it can now be bought separately and not part of the collection for the Hermit's Hideaway House.

This is Prize: Painting: Lord Nagafen. This item here is a quest item so it's not the same.

That may be as close as we are going to get since this is originally mentioned in an update: https://everquest.allakhazam.com/story.html?story=32918
But is covered in the same update for EQ 2. And the item is listed in EQ 2 here: http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Painting:_Lord_Nagafen
The update looks to be copied incorrectly perhaps? As far as the quest part all of the LON items were marked with "quest" and it is listed as a LON item in this http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Legends_of_Norrath_Loot:_Season_Four_Loot_Pack

The only Nagafen painting I have seen in the game is the Lord Nagafen Painting which is in the wrapped painting prize from LON and is the quest for the Hermit's Hideaway.
