I don't know exactly how much it weighed, (hell, what was I gonna do, go grab some scales?) but I have wielded a one-handed medieval-ish sword and it was pretty weighty. Not sure it would've been 90lbs but still, I wouldn't like to have had to actually use it in a real battle, I could barely lift it as it was :-)

(PS. if yer wonderin what i was doing with said sword, it was for a theatre production)

As a measure to compare by, your average bag of cement mix weighes in the neighborhood of 90lbs. Trot on down to your local Home Depot or Payless Cashways and heft one of those bad boys and tell me that any functional sword would or could weigh anything near that.

Also remember that there is a big difference between a sword some guy ground out of a piece of rebar in shop class and a forged, hammered and folded piece of art from a blacksmith's forge.

I can speak from exp on this one, theres NO WAY a person could wield a 90 pound 1hs. I've worked in 2 types of medieval re-enactments. 1 with very light weight swords (3-4 pounds) and no armor. FAST moving 3-4 minute fights and you are wore smooth out afterwards. the other re-enactment full plate armor (75-100 pounds) weapons forged the way they were in the medieval period (range in weight from 5-15 pounds, some of the 2h axes were more) very SLOW fights lasting 5-10 minutes and you feel like your gonna die :)

WHO CARES ABOUT WEIGHT CONVERSION!!! Lets go on the premise that these items all weigh an inexorbament amount, wouldn't it go to say that you are playing a fantasy game in which you are supposed to be a hero/villian. If so, then wouldn't it be prudent to say that as a hero or villian you would have qualities to set you above and beyond the average person and could possibly lift something extremely heavy. My god people its if you are trying to base EQ on real life then NONE of it would be possible.
