This one dropped today from JELQUAR the Soulslayer.

Second time I killed him, this bad loot... today. Pitty the sword is much nicer ;-)
I hate to nit-pick BUT

I looted one. this is pathetic. The stats are fine, whatever. What I mean is the graphic is terrible. The thing looks like a heavy wheat sythe. Like the thick square handle and a curved blade. and even worse the bottom of the handle does not extend past the hand. so it looks unwieldy. its also HUGE looking. like... not so much bigger then a sythe - but being one handed and no extended handle it just looks weighted like crap.

Also look at the weight, the real in game weight its sick. I LOVE that they are putting more oriental weapons int he game, but this is 100% inaccurate.

Besides all that, this is a 'Kama' is the small stick like 1 1/2 feet long and about a 8 inch curved blade. thats an estimate. The ICON looks great, and is porportinate, but is a 'KAMA'

a kusarigama actually has a weighted chain on it for grappling and usually used to taint the opponent or toss at their feet. etc. NOW

http://cnfsa.com/imagesweapons/kusarigama.jpg

now a COOL thing would be this... with a free swinging chain (like cleric epic) Effect snare, or root. Maybe even clickable. That would rock.

Also the Thing they try to pass off as a Katana vs a samarui sword vs a ninjato and a tonto... etc. The guy in charge of this needs to be smacked.

By the way I got mine off what looked like a Heratic, he had a different name. I forget(shadowknight I assume - im a druid he never got near me, pretty high root resist) dropped this and a head (for quest). he was by the stream where a lot of them spawn and the adult panda. where the plush area turns to next area up towards water fall.

Just so you know, on the cover of Dr Masaaki Hatsumi's book, Ninjutsu History and Traditions, it shows Dr Hatsumi wielding a kusarigama that is so large that it stands WAAAY above his head. In case you didnt know, many oriental weapons came in many different sizes. It may not be very common but they did exist.
Does it really look like....?

What I really wanna know is: Does it actually look like a kusarigama? Chain and all? If so, it would be more for looks if a person had something better. =)
For Vahshir?
# Aug 30 2001 at 4:45 AM Rating: Decent
...unless maybe the Vahshir have easy access to Stonebrunt from level 1...but I'm guessing these drop off some level 30 mob.
Like the Velium weapons with their procs that don't fire till the mid-20's, and which no mid-20s person in their right mind would be wielding, this weapon seems pointless and stupid.

Bleh!

Why does Verant bother with stuff like this? Especially in Stonebrunt Mountains, only accessible via Warrens I hear. By the time you can get through the Warrens alive you'll certainly have a better weapon. I just don't get it.

Some characters get the invisibility spell by level 8, and rogues can hide and sneak through the Warrens.

If you'll notice, most of the "better" items that you and everyone else mention are usually bought by people and their twinked out lowbie characters or farmed by their 55th level drood and simply handed down to their other characters. For those of us who don't twink, or those who don't have the characters high enough to twink another one, this weapon may actually be a welcomed addition to the game. Maybe it gives a different appearance, and then it'll be sold for thousands and thousands of platinum like the gnome hide crap or ravenscale armor(that really isn't worth anywhere near what it's sold for).
