Just a little something everyone is forgetting about factio
# Apr 30 2002 at 5:49 PM Rating: Decent
Everyone who starts out with a "indifferent" faction is already at the very lowest point of indifferent in relation to the faction ring your target is on.. Now that being Known the faction hits from the titans is not that Big a hit, i have killed Snowbeast first, yes drops from indiff to apprehensively. I have killed Snowbeast 5 times now, he seems to be the most comon pop, dropped 3 or 2 pelts eack kill, and have seen 2 footpads of the tiger. killed Giang Yin only once so far no pelts but 1 Giang claws, nice for me low ranger.. Killed Old ghost back once and dropped the no drop monk gloves, Gloves of the Rockclimber, and no pelt=(
still cant get Prowler of the Jungle to spawn as I need his pelt the most

Now what i would also like to know is since htese factions are rather minor, hence my kill record, how can one regain these lost factions later?,

Is it just me, or does this claw kinda blow? The robe is sweet with the str, but the claw sucks considerting the level of this massive pands. Just a thought.

Yeah Icetooths are good, so are these claws, I know. Just use both. :)

Use both? How? Icetooth claws are primary melee only, and so are these. That's what makes the Sarnak Eichatka so popular. It's one of the few off hand claws, for those who like the Wolverine look. If I remeber the numbers right, this looks a lot like a Sarnak Pitchatka, only with extra stats on it.
The Perfect mid level Ranger weapon?
# Aug 30 2001 at 2:26 PM Rating: Decent
This is fantastic for a Ranger. I wish I had these rather than the Icetooths around 30th - 44th or so. Icetooths are good but this with the STR component and Wis boost, not to mention not getting fried by mages as easily make it totally worth it.

If you're a ranger in that level range...don't bother with these. Do the Orc Impaler quest from Morin Shadowbane in Kithicor Forest. He'll send you to LFay to talk with Bryn...end result is the Orc Impaler (dmg 7 dly 23 +3str +4wis +10HP).

Just FYI - The Claws is 1HS but The Ocr Impaler is Piercing...

Robe of the Giant Panda
# Aug 30 2001 at 2:46 AM Rating: Decent
Instead of these, when I killed him today he dropped a Robe of the Giant Panda
AC 9
Str +6, Wis +5, Int +5, Mana +10
Weight 2.0
Classes Monk, Enchanter, Wizard, Magician, Necro

looks like Ghostly Robes when equipped - drab grey =P
not sure which one is the rare drop

They look good for paladins, rangers, and beastlords if they change the coding later.
No BST?

BST will not use 1HS. Piercing and blunt weapons are their choice.
He's a good guy.

These claws are, obviously, dropped by a giant panda named Giang Yin (who'd have thunk?). Interestingly enough, he's a good guy -- at least, killing him results in a fairly sizable faction hit with the locals. I went from indifferent to apprehensive in one kill.

He also dropped a Gargantuan Panda Pelt (same as a Kodiak Pelt from GD).

These seem nice, finally a new claw to play with. Seems nice, but I like Icetooths better.

For a warrior, I would definetly agree that Icetooth Claws are better. The 4 more damage more than makes up for the 4 less str and 1 more delay.

While I am not sure it is better, these claws look like they would be comparable to Icetooth Claws mainly on a pally because they can take advantage of the +4 wis on the claws too.
