was looking at the Clockwork Observer stuff today and saw that there is no spot for augmenting... thought everything in the game had augments.

hey there augs available for it.......check the text under last updated for these items

It probably has no aug slot because it is rechargeable. The recharge process could very likely remove the aug if it were augable.

You know... I have been playing a lot more and more on PVP (player vs player) and I have to say this would ROCK pvp. If you had enough cash you could make this at level 1. lol. The bonuses, ac, magic and clickies... or even to have a gnome for a first character (Like a Necro or Pally is a great start on pvp) and hand the stuff down. Anyways... I mean you can sow yourself, strength buff, be invis, see invis... and so on. Very nice indeed...

this stuff is one of the FEW worth while craft/skill based items that was out very early on in the game. Now they come out with more and more... then turn around and any one can recharge.... :D very nice.

Dude your stupid... no SVM.. that makes it almost usless.. unless you can get far enough away from the guy beating your ***** and besides almost everyone on Vallon Zek server has somthing that gives them see invis so its still usless... and its 6 seconds witch makes it suck even more. it wouldn't be that usfull, good stats and AC though
Diety alighned?

This recipie requires a Imbued Ruby or Black Sapphire. Is it diety aligned? 32 Cleric of Bristlebane asking. PS: Have you seen my whoopie cushion?

Yeah it is about time they made gnome culteral armor. Sucks that it only has 10 charges of invis, hopefully you can recharge this. I do not play a gnome, cept for an enchanter since basically all gnomes are, are for casters. Anyways, this armor is OK, gay being gnome only since like 1 out of 500 people make a gnome melee/hybrid/cleric.

Just my 2 cents

this is replying deatheater,
do u think a Dark Elf warrior/hybrid make any sense??
the truth is both dark elf and gnome are having similar start-up stats,
except for wisdom,
so if one says gnome is gimp'ed for being a warrior/hybrid or what so ever,
then it goes the same as being a dark elf too IMO,
the only reason why people would choose dark elf rather than gnome,
it simply becasue the out-looking,
where DEF does look cool,
where gnome does look cute IMO
LOL

#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 14 2003 at 11:42 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ya but a lot of people dont like gnoem because they think there weak but there better for being a sk or warrior than a wood elf or dark elf and there is lots of those. also there better pallies than half elfs and high elfs i think.but gnome clerics are kinda crappy starting stats but i bet they still get a group damn clerics lol

Ok. Um, ok. First off, you have *got* to learn how to use grammar, punctuation, spelling, and capitalization. It was pretty hard to follow you, and it took a couple readings before I even knew what you were saying. Now that I have a handle on your comment, I have a couple of my own.

The issue of what race is best for what class has become almost completely academic, as have starting stats. Back in the "good old days" of EQ, when The Vision(tm) was still alive and well, people would put a lot of thought into races and starting stats. Why? Because it mattered. Because there was no such thing as +100 HP/mana items, and +10 to a stat was considered uber. It's not a big deal anymore. Casters are maxing their melee stats, melees are getting their caster stats near-maxed, and everyone has 8 billion HP. You can pick any available race for a class and not have to worry.

Now, that's not to say picking a race is completely arbitrary. There are still advantages/disadvantages to picking a certain race for a certain class. However, it's not that big of a deal. For example, Iksar monks have an advantage over Human monks, in that they can regen faster, have infravision, and a slightly higher innate AC. However, Iksars have a slower XP progression, and take longer to level than Humans do. Barbarian/Troll/Ogre warriors have an advantage over Gnome or Dwarf warriors, because they have the ability to Slam, and are less likely to be stunned. However, Trolls tend to level a bit slower than other races.

There are trade-offs you make picking races for certain classes, but in the end, it doesn't make a huge difference. If not many people pick gnomes, it's because not many people like the way a gnome looks. Why do you think so many people pick Dark Elves? It's not simply because of Ultravision. Dark Elves look inherently "cool," which people like.
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 15 2003 at 6:51 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) the only reason i dont use good grammer is cause i dont give a flying f@$# what ppl care about what im wrighting and what i ment to say was that gnomes are made fun of as melees even though there just as good or better then a few other races starting stat wise
RE: about time
# Feb 16 2003 at 12:09 PM Rating: Decent
The reason to use good grammar when you write isn't that you should "give a flying f@$# what ppl care about what im wrighting". However, without the use of a certain degree of grammar rules, your post turns from an understandable piece of prose to what is essentially very bad poetry.

Yes, it's interesting to read, but it has about as much actual meaning to most english speakers as a piece written in German. How would you treat someone if they came up to you in real life and started talking in that fashion?

I have seen many with very poor grammar (Or even type all in Troll) and say a great deal... and those that have flawless writing ability say little to nothing of use or interest..... I personally think people are a bunch of A55H0LE5.

If you dont get anything from there post, so what. Or think about this, English... might not be there native language! *GASP* ! And um, if there is some usefull stuff take the time to read it or politely ask them to clarify. dont be a jackass.

Perfect Grammar certainly does not produce perfect people, and seems to be a long shot from perfect manors.

Quite a few tinkers can make this. Check <www.tinkering.org> and go to their GPS listings to try to find a gnome on your server listed with high enough skill or just ask around.

Prices seem to be in the neighborhood of the other cultural armors.

Me for example...just finished a complete set of Observer armor with the help of Brillian on the final legs and bp. If you want to see it, look for Carren on Solusek Ro, he is a friend I made the armor for and the highest Gnome Paladin (47) on Solusek Ro.
