Seems kinda lame that this item is for druids - we get 2 kickass earrings with Luclin, this PoS doesnt even have wis. True, 80mana is nice, the resists are the only reason I would do it, nice trakanon resist gear etc, poison and disease likely the toughest stats to raise
erm.. this quest is from the Velious era and so was around long before the cabbage quest.. maybe now there isnt as much reason to quest this.. but some of us enjoy questing.
Get LDON and get yourself one of the gems that gives 6 wis and put it on and you now have a great earring. The picture was taken before LDON which is why there is no augment slot for it. Looking forward to doing the quest myself
Rogues don't get this earring because it is a priest class earring, monks are essentially priests who focus on physical strength rather than rely on spells. They get their power through faith as the others do.
As a Shaman 60 with 215 Wis, I m mainly looking for Ac, Hp/Sta, Resists and Mana/wis items. This makes this item such a good one and more when you think it goes on Ear Slot.
Just have to get 2 Flawless Diams and I ll finish quest in DN.
Isn't this funny, a priest earring that is actually pretty darn good for a monk. AC, STR, STA, HP and resists, low weight, forget about the mana. And when has a Iksar Cazic Monk not needed CHA lol? Monk items seem to have CHA on them a lot...

The weapon is 32/37 plus very powerful fast DoT in addition to great stats/ac..... Compared to this with NO wisdom... simply no good it is.

This is the best cleric, or other priest, earring I have seen in the game, period. This is perfect for me, I have 253 wis currently, none of it from earrings. My priorities for items are MANA, hp, resists, sta, ac, in that order. This earring has everything I look for in an item, and tons of it considdering the slot it takes. Very nice upgrade for my electrum black saphire earring *chuckle*.
As a cleric the most important stat is wisdom... but seeing as how i already have 200 wis i wouldnt exactly need any more. This is a very nice item with good stats if you already have good wisdom...not to mention the resistances put on it is a nice touch.
Sorry. I DO have a chanter, and although my int is beyond capped (I can take off my ZHeart with it's 20 int and still have over 255 unbuffed), I love the mana flare clicky on the ring. This IS great for the raw stats though. I'm surprised, but impressed, that the monks get such a great item that's considered a priest item.

This is all round, but I would seriously give this to a monk, as it is more useful to them, as it is to us. True that monks would have their skills nearly maxed out, but still, they always can ditch another item for ac.
Do you have any clue what you're talking about? This is quested. The time involved in gathering and/or crafting the necessary pieces for this item pre-empts any of that loot babble so many people LOVE to start.
This earring.. This earring is very good. For a shaman, that 10 sta == 30 hp, so the the earring gives EIGHTY hit points. PR and DR aren't necessary for many things, but the main reason I even wear my BD earring is for those resists. This means I have one less item to swap out.
It isn't that great of an item compared to the Naginata, but the whole idea of the quest to make the giantkilling weapon. The ring and the earring are nice gear, not blow your mind amazing, but useful even to a level 60 character.
Clearly, though, this is a quest primarily to get the weapon and the other loots is verant just being nice to the other classes - except rogues. Rogues can't use any of the quest items which is probably an oversight on Verant's part but sucks if you are a rogue.
Are you serious Wilor? This is one of the best earrings in the game. Please feel free to list all the earrings that make this look not so great, I'd really like to see them.

I really do wish warriors could wear this, 10 sta = 60 hp at 60, so you get *110* hp from the earring.. wow ! :) 5 ac and 10 str are also a nice addition, but the huge +HP from the earring would make any warrior happy.
My only complaint on this item in comparison to the other rewards from this quest is that this item has no effect. The effect on the ring is incredible. It is, in effect, a mana regeneration spell. Granted, it seems to have a side effect of blinding you, but that is totally worth the 150 mana you get from using it.
I think that including monks on this item stopped them from putting an effect like that on it. Too bad.
lol cant believe people are saying this ear ring isnt worth wearing as a priest. By the time a cleric gets this at his level he would have over 200 wisdom at which you would be looking for items to swap out for more ac, resists, and mana increase not wisdom *smacks people upside the head* what is most disapointing about this Skyshrine quest is that Rogues cannot use any of the items.. no fair :(
Actually Beastmaster is a cleric and shaman hybrid. Because last i checked shaman's didn't get complete healing, and beastmasters get CH beastmaster pet.
I would think that a beastlord is a monk/shaman hybrid, since they use many of the same pieces of armor and weapons as a monk. The pet CH is irrelevent, since it is most likely intended to make the class unique. Morgyn 60 druid Togashimitsu 55 monk
well at least i think its better than the ring you get if you turn this in. tho it is nice to see quest where you can decide what your reward is isint it.
I have to flame you again Daakar. Ring is good earring is good wpn is good. You can choose. Like you pointed out... It is all abvoius what is good and what is not, depends on your class. If you are necro, this is not good. So then you would turn in this POS (to a necro =) and get nice nice ring.
do you realy think a druid cleric or shamen will do so much and no wis at all only a bit resistance and 80 mana wow this item sucks for theonce who can use it the only once who can use them are monks.
This is a very nice item. The 80mana=8Wis at lvl50 and the resist are very handy also. And it even has other stats to boot. STR would help my usually encumbered **** get around a lil better.
Notice that the priestly classes get this erring, also notice the name of the erring.....now what is a monk? they are essentially priests of the body, they sacrficed priestly powers for control of there own body,(Just refreshing history here) witch incidently in a rather ironic move that most peeps dont pick-up on is essentally a monk is a form of priest, a non-casting, non-plate wearing, sheer master of chi priest.
