Can this item go in the range slot? would be a nice tradeoff for dragoon dirk then, 1less dex and no magic resistance for 2agi... and the effect, plus you could use the DD... Just my 2 cp

uhhh Enduring Breath isn't a DD, it is a buff that lets you breath underwater, and 3 charges isn't enough to help you in somewhere like Kedge keep.

hmm, i have to wonder what your smoking seeing that you think he's absolutely correct when he calls enduring breath a dd. besides, this thing weighs 5 stone, who in their right mind would waste that much wt on such a trival item even if it can go into range, which s still totally in question. just my 2 copper peices.

Ok so some of us low lvl's wouldn't want this. It has enduring breath without the use of mana or fish scales. It would be nice have for that fact. It is also rechargable. Maybe not a good combat weapon but nice for the effest it has on it. When I hit 14 I might just do this quest. It is sounds interesting to me. I am a shammy so useing it would be nice without wasting mana or fish scales.

Paladin usable piercer? I know about the Messenger of the Queen, in fact, i own one, but i thought Paladins didnt have piercing before Velious. If Pallys can use i might just get the spear for fun =)

It was made useable by Paladins so they could use the special effect. It is a poor weapon combat wise, but the three charges of enduring breath are nice. Also important to note, it is easily rechargeable. Just turn the depleted spear and a fresh fish in to Roary and he recharges it.

I think it would be ok for a young shaman like me. And I think it should be one of those thing that you do since your going that way anyway type things.

Most duel wielding bards would like this for a second item.
why? it sux. just buy a bloodstained fang (9/32). that is, if you still melee by then.

"if you still melee by then." ok, buddy, your a bard, aka secondary tank, just like a paladin/sk/ranger. You are also a crowd control, but that doesn't mean you stop meleeing. think about what you post.

I am with ya Aeren, I don't wield 2 Centis just to *look* tough! A good Bard can twist songs & melee indefinately... There are times you get stuck on Crack duty, but most groups appreciate a Bard's jack-of-all-trades qualities. :)
