First Sisters of the
Blackfeather Harpies Vol. I

Eletyl, Ashrana, Mestle and
Gayatri, sisters and noble
Elddar elves of the House of
Isaralune, were often spoiled
and became bored with the city
life offered them in
Takish-Hiz. Their father,
Tedann Isaralune would often
tease them and tell them they
would not survive the passing
of thirty moons in the
northern woods.

Bored and wanting to prove
their father wrong, the four
sisters ventured into the
woods, with nothing but their
formal robes. They felt there
was nothing to woodlands
survival and with their
knowledge of some magic, being

able to walk invisibly and
forage, they would easily see
thirty moons rise and fall
without incident.

It was not but moments beyond
the comforts of Takish-Hiz
that Mestle began to whine
about the nettles scraping her
legs and arms as they trampled
through brush and thick woods.
Gayatri and Ashrana began to
complain that they were
thirsty and hungry. Eletyl,
the eldest and desperate for
her father's approval, shouted
at them to keep quiet and that
they must press on and find
shelter where they could stay
and wait out their thirty
days.

And so they traveled on for no
more than a day. All of their

finely coifed silvery hair was
matted from sweat and dirt.
Mestle having tripped over a
low root was still picking
pine needles and burrs from
her hair. Before the sun had
set, the four sisters found
shelter among some trees where
they flopped to the ground,
miserable, and then it started
to rain.

As rain began to eke its way
into the shelter, Eletyl
glared at each of her sisters,
daring them to speak. They
didn't. When the rain
subsided, Eletyl announced she
was going to forage food for
them. Several hours later,
she returned, empty-handed.
Ashrana shrieked and announced
she was going home, and then
Meslte and Gayatri chimed in.

They were all shouting at each
other when a wonderful aroma
wafted through the trees into
their shelter. [Continued in Vol.II.]
