Could understand why monk would like it...but really how much do earrings weigh anyway...Being a warrior think it should go to the main tank classes. But thats just my opinion & I'll shut up now.
You should have shut up before you openend your mouth. Str is easily maxed with buffs, you just wanted to show off that you'd got a yellowfang earring.
Str may be easy to max with items, but often of the expense of other stats.. I have had to sacrifice STR for my dex, so items with a LARGE chunk of str are more than weelcome... And yes, rangers need str.. it increases your atk rating. ATK = DPS...

he said with buffs not items. its easy with items, even easier with buffs. stamina and hp should be a focus. if you're raiding, youll be at or near max str and dex anyways once your all buffed up. its a non issue. your resists, your HP (and therefor stamina) are what will influence your survivability (reducing healing load on the healersnot assigned to the tank, and that helps the raid), and the longer that you survive, the more dps you do anyways. and once you can self buff 200atk and get a\even more from other spells stackoing on, the lil bit you get from str, is also, a non-issue.

Truesight is a cross between see invisible, and a really good sight spell. It basically just lets you see absolutely everything. Hope that helps!

Its a Earring for crying out loud all jewlery has like a 0WT if ya haven't noticed
So is all other jewelery "monk only", they weigh 0.1
I got some flasks of water the other day, I feel ashamed cause they are monk only but I am drinking them.

I have to agree with the people who say that they are getting tired about monks saying that any item that has a high AC, and a low wieght should be monk only. Some items like the ancient wyvern hide tunic that has 40 AC and zero wieght, yea I can see that going to a monk, because warriors have bp that have higher AC's, and are better, but with an item like this, there is nothing better, for anyone. There isn't another earing that comes close to having 18 Ac, and last I checked, Warriors, pallies, sk's, bards, and rogues also need large amounts of AC.

If anyone took the time to take their head out of their ass and look at what it takes to do the quest for this I'd say that any class that can use this and do the quest has every right to have it. I mean, come on, an 18AC earring! Hell, I'd like it for my cleric but I can't use it so I won't bitch about the fact that I can't use it. Good luck to anyone who does this quest, you have gotten yourself IMO the best melee earring in the game, enjoy it. Just my 2cp

Actually the best melee earring would be Vyrinn's Earring of Insanity, but to get this earring you need to be a Dragon allied guild. The AC and str/sv fire is nice but it would be a whole lot better with HP or stamina on it.

On behalf of monks, this is the stupidest thing Ive seen, were baffling over what clas wants this? um, okay, why? whats truesight? how hard is it to get this item...people, get a brain, im an old school monk, and im dirt tired of these newbie monks bringing in there crappy twinks and stuff, getting power leveled to 60 and getting epics when they join there "uber" guild, You wouldnt believe how many monks I run into that say that I suck, because I dont have good equip, SORRY THAT I HAVE A HEART, you people on this bored that are arguing about this, are pathetic, I wish I could post this message on every board in the EQ world. And once more, for everyones sake, THIS IS ONLY A GAME, and once again...do you have a heart, this is a game, every class that could wear this item would love to. Hi Me again, you know the I HATE NBG guy. Hehe... I play a 51st season Rake and I have a Shammy & Monk twink (The Shammy for SoW potions, the Monk for guild CR when H & S are no good and no other Monkies around ... I digress). Rogues and Monks are great classes. Rogues can be very versatile and Monks are gods for pulls and certain CRs. I know (now) about the running Monk joke. (BTW haha) But, I have to say some really bonehead chatter goes on here bashing classes and trying to determine best class for an item Blah, blah, blah. I am not "Uber Lord" (God save me from that ignoble fate.) You know how I got to be 51st? (No, wiseguy, not Ebay) As a Rogue I trained all of my combat skills (Cept HtH) to max. Doing so allowed me to enjoy all of the cool items avail to me... all of them. I have had fun and I leveled to 51 in 1 year (I have a job and a life)
