Hello everyone! I can make this piece one out of every 3 attempts. I am on Saryn. I make em fer free =). One catch tho, you gotta bring me EVERYTHING to make em. here's the list.

9 morning dews
1 swirling mist
2 essence of moonlight
10 enchanted large bricks of mithril
Plate cloak mold
Leather padding
Emerald (I can imbue it)

Send a tell to Kapox on the Saryn server for when to meet me. I can brew too so no need to pre-make the temper. REMEMBER!!! 1 in 3, no guarantees, nice cloak tho...nice nice nice nice... I can make all of this Koada'Dal armor BTW, so if you want any of it, just bring me all the items and I'd be happy to combine em fer ya. Different odds of completion per piece tho. Mostly same ingredients, different molds. Make sure you can use it before you do all the hunting.
(Only need to level up with this stuff, not make money off of it, just think cheaper then buying it premade)

Cloak Cost

I'm a smith who has been fortunate enough to craft this item.

first of all, it is THE HARDEST Player Crafted piece of armor to make in the game. with a skill of 242 and a wisdom of 255 i was successful in 1 of 7 attempts. a very valuable temper, 235pp, 9 morning dews, and a very patient enchanter to enchant 10 bricks of mithril for EACH ATTEMPT is what this item takes to make. multiply all that times 7 and that's the approximate cost incurred by the smith. tack on the profit the very proud smith needs to make and this is gonna be a fairly expensive piece.

I have a lvl 40 bard who worships tunare.... I know that sounds odd, but I didn't know much about bards when I started him. This cloak will be an awsome addition with as much ac/dex/cha as it has. Now I just need to find a master-smith
This is clearly

Another sign of this wierd, who derserves this item thing...
Anyone who want to pay me for making it, deserves it...
Okay, here is what classes this item is CLEARLY meant for
# Jun 10 2001 at 2:44 AM Rating: Default
Well, before I do that, lets look at all the wis casters and their armor types (Stated in Velious Armour Quests---Verant atleast knows what type of armor they meant their classes to wear!..And Verant did a good job in this armor line...)
Druid: Leather
Cleric: Plate
Paladin: Plate
Ranger: Chain

IF you didn't figure it out, that means this PLATE cloak if for a Cleric, or Paladin, POSSIBLY a ranger if he lacked fair AC in that department, and the DEX would help some...But Mostly it'd be Cleric and Paladin.

erm, isnt it meant for whoever PAYS for it. we're not talking about it being and ultra rare dragon drop or anything.....

It could be easily argued that this cloak is for elf bards (most likely a wood elf to worship tunare). 14 ac is great for bards, and charisma and dexterity are two of the top 2 or 3 stats for a bard

Yup, rangers cant wear it, so it is plate armor. I can go along with that, even though I'd looooove to be able to wear it.

many would argue Rangers are one of the few non-broken hybrid classes in EQ. Rangers are the "offensive" hybrid, and well, apparently that's true with maxed out melee skills and trueshot post 50. I'm not complaining though, heh, just giving encouragment =P

I disagree because by that same logic since the knight's are defensive classes they have the same defense as the warrior. What bothers me the most is Knights= Off: 230 / Def: 252 while a ranger gets Off: 252 (being the offensive side of the warrior) / Def: 200. If the rangers defense was 230 then I would be in complete agreement as to the classes balance. Ranger armor sucks as it is which already begins to limit the classes AC but it's only fair to raise their defense to 230 in which case I'd have no complaints.

Rangers are fine.

They have spells like Jolt and shouldn't be getting hit anyway.

Ranger DMG > Warrior DMG

Pal/SK Tanking < Warrior Tanking
Trivials
# Jun 09 2001 at 4:08 AM Rating: Default
Just to let people know the trivals on Normal mithril plate are in the 240 skill range. The ingrediants for Moonlight temper are a pain to get.. moreso then for the dwarven racial because Mist/steam elementals are uncommon spawns, whereas there's a whole zone of fire elementals. I know people who have been offering velium jewelry of choice for 2-3 mists dependant on jewel.. comes down to about a 200-250pp value per mist. Then on elven chain which has lower trivals there is still a 75% rough failure rate for a 250 smith so this is even going to have a higher failure rate.
RE: Trivials
# Jun 11 2001 at 5:09 PM Rating: Default
Haha. Moonlight temper harder than Dwarven temper. It is to laugh. Mists drop in Steamfont from steam elementals at the same rate as mercury drops do. Lava Rocks now. There is the hardest item to aquire in Norrath.

im an iksar never gonna make this but the trvial on my imbued is lower than trivial on normal race armor so dont be to shure that this will be harder then the non inbued/enchanted version
*sigh*

Who ever entered the info messed up, this is a smithed item kiddies....

Words of wisdom...

If it looks like plate, and it weighs like plate it is probably a duck, er I mean plate...
Re: WTF?
# Jun 08 2001 at 6:23 PM Rating: Decent
Its not a druid item because its not tailored, its smithed. Its a plate cloak. Quit whining.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 08 2001 at 6:17 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok, this may sound stupid, but think about it:
RE: WTF?
# Jun 08 2001 at 7:11 PM Rating: Decent
It's a plate armour piece, not leather.

Just be glad that Druids can wear the Enchanted/Imbued Chain... which is even lighter.
Tailors? (nt)
