hehe I just don't understand. Some people put a fantastic amount of time into getting the 3rd, 4th and even 5th shawl, and then post here that they are going to stop because **whines** "It's too hard .." or "Permanent increase in mana regeneration that is stackable is not worth the time.." or ".. I am such a moron that I do not understand that all the time and effort I am putting into my character's skill will actually benifit me in MANY other quests and endeavours.." Man, having an item that gives a plus 7 to so many attributes is soooo anoying! How can verrant do this to me? The sky is falling!! I am such a pansy, and need to be fed all my magic items from a sugar daddy who HAS the skill to get them for me... heaven forbid I get the nice items from doing a quest .... that would involve patience, work, and a love for the game ... Not to mention that I love to complain about how much this item sucks because I LACK THE SKILL and DESIRE to get off my butt and do a quest.... so I'll stick to putting down this item to make myself look better ... perhaps people will actually believe that I posses some sort of SAGE power that will make me look all cool by telling people on these message boards .. "The outcome of this quest does not give me an item powerful enough for me to devote my time to a silly mortal quest"

wake up! This is an uber item, worth the time involved. You get far more than a shoulder slot item. There is no better way to increase your trade skills than doing it for a quest that will PROFIT you.. it's a win/win situation folks...LOL

I am soo glad i worked onmy tailoring. Have it up to 160 anyways, which as far i know is tied for highest on my server. I am a cleric, and plan on using it after shawl 6. Completed shawl 5 already. Yes it was mega camped, but you know what?. I grouped with fellow questers so we could kill every spider in the place and get crystal eyes and nice exp too. Quest gems and small pieces of ore drop off the spiders too, so quest 5 was nice. The bile was boring though.
JC took me 2k to raise it from 0 -170. I knwo as a cleric I was quite perturbed to have to raise this skill and flecthing not quite done, only at 127. Good luck to everyone, and off to kill sirens only thing I need for number 6 =)

also, see the server fare is from? =)
people ***** about no drop items that theres better out there, but on RZ everyone is gauged on how much no drop they have 8)
and no drop is more important then most other stats or its just not worn except on some raids
so this is an AWSOME item for RZ, just like the coldain rings 8)

Add to the stats above that the 7th shawl gives poison resist then the last 3 shawls really begin to look über.

btw, after the last patch, the stats on the 5th and 6th shawl were updated:

breeze is what? 3 extra mana per tick? so i think 1 extra plus the stats make the 7th shawl it worth the effort

Clarity gives 7 mana per tick by a level 35+ enchanter.
KEI = 14 as well as other stats.

I applaud Farendil's achievement, but this item is simply not worth NEARLY the effort expended. The shawl quests are now officially ridiculous camp-fests...my questing is over at the 4th one

Heh, even if you can't get a group in Velks you can hang around and loot threads. It's ridiculous how many of them get destroyed just to clean up all the corpses. I got all the threads I needed by grouping, but now I actually hate being ML in Velks because it is such a pain to loot and destroy all the threads that drop. I don't know what you're thinking man, but as a shaman that uses an incredible amount of mana and is constantly canni/regening, I think this item is definitely worth every bit of effort it takes. I figure the 7th shawl would save me about 1 cann every 3-3.5 minutes or 17-20 canns an hour. Group will probably be pleased that I'm spamming a little less on the wincing, hehe.

Thats a shame that you are stopping at shawl 4, especially considering in that just a few short hours my group looted 35 silk threads give or take a couple... i expect to have all the threads i need (on a couple of mules hehe) within the week, then to raise tailoring... and so what if that takes a while... ultimately i intend to be level 60 with epic , and master at every trade skill anyway, by the time i master tailoring, the silks will all be there for me and then its on to part 6 hehe

Flowing thought one is just that...ONE extra mana per tick. Stats on 7th aren't bad though.
ac 7 7int for my shoulders i would love this just like that but now throw in 7 wis along with 7 to saves then for a little flavor... a permanant extra 1 mana per tick i can tell you right now im starting work on my pottery and sewing skills. after all what else is there to do ? sit in a room killing goblins waiting for an ac 2 2wis 2int -10DR shoulder item to drop perhaps?
