If you're playing the old fashioned way on a TLP server, or on a regular server without going through tutorial, staying away from Crescent Reach, and without using defiant gear, this is realistically going to be your first magic weapon, just like in the old days. The stuff you see for sale in bazaar now is all from newer expansions and costs a hell of a lot more than the combine weapons do. The prices are still too high for what they are, but there aren't going to be many other choices if that's how you're rolling.

Gypsie camp in these zones NK. Oasis, Rathe Mts. These are ok for a youngster big enought to hunt wisps.

Combine is just the name of the old empire. Apparently they left one hell of a back inventory when they disappeared.
