Mantle (same person)

Though, come to think of it, I don't know how rare it is.. maybe I was just lucky... there is a whole set of burynai hide armor, and I think they only drop off of lesser icebone skeletons in Kurn's Tower, as I've never seen them drop off of any one outside the tower.

Burynai hide items are random drops off of any mob in Kurns. One time I got a burynai hide bracer off a scalebone skeleton. Absolutelty anything in the tower can drop burynai hide, so if you want it, just kill anything in there for a while.

Burynai isn't too shabby, but its another case of Drolvarg being so cheap (I saw one go for 50p the other day) that you might as well just go for the better one. Also Burynai and Drolvarg both weigh 1.5 stones, so there is no weight improvement. So Wu's are pretty darn good for low levels because of the low weight, but once you get to 30 or so, stick with Drolvarg.

I am very surprised to see how many people do not use the burynai-hide mantle...I use it, and have used it for many levels, and it's relatively easy to get

Drolvarg

At low levels with the lower weight cap, this is probly better than Drolvarg. I mean with 14-15 wt and 4 is used up on fighting batons, you have to keep it down. Once you get to Trance stick and a higher weight cap, Drolvarg is still better.

This isn't bad, because its almost as good as Drolvarg Mantle, without the 1.5 weight.

The irony is my beastlord wears this and my monk wears the drolvarg mantle...

Actually the drolvarg is better for a monk if the monk can afford the weight (my monk has high enough weight allowance that she's better off with a drolvarg).

I basically give my beastlord the wu's my monk has whenever my monk gets something better than wu's (which she still hasn't for her back item! Anyone know of a good back item that a 43 monk can get or buy?)

Edit: Hehe, she got one, finally, a spider fur cloak...
