If anyone on the Tunare server happens to be selling one of these please send my character (Qeshinto) an in-game /tell. Or e-mail me at Thabee420@hotmail.com, I am currently located in or around the city of Freeport.
Got it for...

20pp in N. FP the other day.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 30 2001 at 3:35 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Actually I believe it was around 4pp per AC and Agi Point. The most expensive item was the Gi at 52pp. And I don't wanna hear flame screaming notuh and no way like little children, because that is that I paid. I seen someone trying to auction just a CAP for 150pp. That an insane markup and believe me I know about insane markups I am a master jeweler. I got an entire (yes COMPLETE, NOTHING missing) set of Wu's armor from a tailor for 360pp.
great

This might actually give you more ac than the wolf hide, at a considerably lower price. Very good item
#Anonymous, Posted: May 24 2001 at 9:32 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) These Wu items have always existed, but no one who knew how to make em was sharin the secret. To who ever let the proverbiable cat out of the bag, THANK YOU!

Considering for some of the items you need a 10-slot tailoring bag, I dont think they did exist very long.

10 slot sewing kits disappeared quite a while ago. But there are community looms in every city, so you can tailor items that have more than 8 ingredients using these.
The recipe
# May 24 2001 at 8:39 PM Rating: Default
The recipe requires:

3 silk swatches
4 Heady Kiolas (2 Kiola Saps + Water + Bottle)
1 cloak pattern
1 vial of viscous mana (1 Opal + 200 mana + 1 vial)

I figure the cost is roughly 50-70pp. Selling price should be about 100pp. If the tailor does all the grunt work, cost is closer to 35pp.

The vial of Viscous Mana you speak of requires a pearl, not an opal. As for the price that is up to you.

Well silk swatches were selling prior to this for about 1pp each. Heady Kiolas cost about 5 gold each to make. Cloak pattern is cheap couple silvers. Viscous mana is 1 pp for vial 5-6pp for pearl plus cost of Enchanter for there mana.

Considering what happened when the recipe for Hand-Made backpacks came out and the prices of High Q bear skins when to 50pp each (now averaging 20pp on Bristlebane) look for silk swatches to raise in price for a bit.

Other factor for price is unless you played with Velious recipes or cultural tailoring there was no cheap way to get tailoring beyond 108 skill - look for tailors to try to recoop there failures for a bit - alot of the stuff go trivial till the 140-150's.

After about 2 months I bet prices will settle down to 2 to 3pp per ac. Considering it is a limited commodity just for monks.

2-3pp per AC? That would make this item only 15pp. Cheapest cost to make (if you are an enchanter, who is a brewer, with good charisma, and hunt the spiders yourself) is about 10pp. It takes hundreds of hours or work to get to the skill level this trivials at. Also - you have to chase down the vials and pearls and patterns, make the vial of mana, brew the Heady Kiolas, kill a few spiders... I can sell these to the merchants for 7pp, and they re-sell for 33pp. I'd rather destroy them than sell them for any less than 30-40pp. So while the price may drop - the only supply at those prices will be from tailors trying to get their skills up. Pretty fair, there's not really any decent low-weight monk cloaks out there. Plus most monk wearable cloaks better than this cost 100p+, this stuff probably doesn't cost much at all.

I agree, this stuff is pretty ok, but nothing fantastic. This is a great gap filling cloak between cured silk/mesh and the white wolf hide class of cloaks.

I currently wear a Lizardscale cloak which weighs 2.5 but +5 dex, so I may switch to one of these so I don't have to go over my 16 weight limit when using my Adamantite Bo Stick... and I really don't want to have that Proc too much, so lowering the Dex can't hurt too much :-)
