gimme a break.

That's 166 points added to an eru sk starting stats. If it was a main character I'd be extremely impressed. Even for a twink it's impressive.

I am not impressed by those who post just to brag.

Personally, I think you are FoS. But since you opened your mouth (figuratively), lets see your equipment list and then we'll do the math. Those kind of stats could only come from No Drop items off high lvl mobs.

So, show me Mr. Anon SK 32

Please flame me :-p

Well, I dont know. I mean 157 Str is kinda high
unless you are wearing some really nice armor. But with the Sta so low, I cant see it being crusty. And to have your int cranked up that high you either have high starting int (which would leave less for Str, this making this even less beleivable) or one heck of a collection of int jewlery.

Would you be so kind as to post your equipement list? I'd love to see how you pulled it off.

My 40 Eru Pal has seen as much as 160wis, but with that suit his str is barely 95. Granted, his stuff is almost all quested or earned. With a few jewler items I have purchased along the way.

The highest str I have ever worn was a suit of Crusty, which caused hellish Cha and Dex problems. Looking back on it, it was one of the nicer tank suits I ever wore. At least Vs the living.

You can find the recipes in the Paineel shop, Sinfully Handsome. It requires Terrorantula silk from that huge spider in S.Ro, purified mana, and platinum thread (which can be found in the same shop) I imagine it can also be found somwhere in that good Erudite city (but who would want to go there?)

Can ONLY Erudites make this armor? I'm a tailor, and I'm trying to find all the recipies I can. I hope this isn't the case, cause I'm a gnome.

Sorry, cultural armor is racist *heehee*
only Humans can make human armor and use human forges, only Erudites can make erudite armor in Erudite sewing kits. the sale is true for Halflings and Dwarves and every other race. Which is rather annoying to us tradeskillers who wander by an innocent forge and then realize "Only [insert race here] can use this forge"

As a tailor myself, I can tell you that recipies are everywhere. Buy all the books and read them (books in game sold at merchants) There are also many websites which list them. I keep a list in a handy spreadsheet so i can look back when I need to.

Why??????
# May 24 2001 at 4:16 PM Rating: Decent
When I first heard of SteelSilk I was thinking "Sweet, silk armor with banded/plate class AC"...

For my Wizard.

Talk about disappointing.

Steelsilk fits the 3, rarest, Erudite classes. The INT is wasted on two of them, since they are WIS based.

The Erudite paladin is, without a doubt, the rarest of all Erudite classes, AND paladin races. Why? Because Erudite stats are always slanted towards that of the INT caster.

/em grabs a clue-by-four
/em looks around for the tradeskill designer

You just answered why. Obviously silksteel is designed to try and convince people to play the 3 most rare erudite classes (especially the hybrids) Very few people play Erudite Paladins, so Verant put in a lot of Erudite only gear (Shield of Staltwart Seas comes to mind) to bolster the class and get people to play it. This is just another example.

Exactly, I am an Erudite Paladin serving Quellious

I have nothing against anyone who picks any combination for any reason. I am disapointed to hear how many people rag on us for choosing a more challenging combination. (I think I was rated Moderate Difficulty)

Besides, I LOVE the look of an Erudite in
Plate or steelsilk ... It makes people stop and
wonder.

Granted, I often get picked last for groups because I am not exactly the best choice for a tank. But you should see how fast my skills go up :)

I believe this armor carries the Velious plate graphic. It looks somewhat like traditional samurai armor and actually looks rather good (also explains the oriental weapons popping up on Odus).
Night Sight

If I remember correctly, the Split Paw Mask from Infected Paw Lair bestows Infravision, but that could be a rumor, I've never actually worn the thing myself.

It's (splitpaw mask) never given me infravision, although it is a lightsource.

Yes, I keep one in my "SvM gear" bag. It not only provides an extra few SvM points, but replaces my breastplate of Ro as my lightsource when battling nukers.
this and flayed skin
# May 24 2001 at 4:18 AM Rating: Decent
i have to agree with the poster below , with the right combination of steel silk and flayed skin you could make a pretty decent Erudite SK . now if only i can think of something to cure that darn night sight problem with a decent item and not just a glowing stone band.....

Shoulda known...

This stuff woulda been great for my Dark Elf, but it's erudite only...

Ow well, i get adamanitium armor (call me weapon x... no... call me Wolverine!)

But i have to say... this seriously makes me want to start up a erudite SK or something... just to have armor called 'steelsilk', now i just hope they update the fashion tables here so i can see what it looks like.
