the only people who hate monks are people who were shamed in 1 on 1 combat vs one.. Obviously since you are a ranger you have been. Either that whenever you group with them, even though you have that little taunt button you cant seem to get anything off the monk. ::COUGHHATERANGERSCOUGH::

I actually like monks they do a nice bit of dmg but i would prefer a Shadow Knight, Paladin over a monk any day and that for 2 reasons.......... AC/Taunt..... monks are a damage dealing class they have very little ac and they cant taunt. example I am Healing the heck of of a monk because hes aggroed like a cop on a doughnut when the mob gets mad at me for healing/ds/regen if there is no tank in the group i would probally die because the monk cant taunt to make extra aggro on he/she then the lack of ac comes in and the whole group is whiped out when i the healer go oom and then the monk goes down.... thus the whole group follows. I do not have anything against monks i would prefer a hybrid/warrior over you guys heh......

Seriously, there's no place for hatemongering, I can understand this other person saying he hates monks although I don't aggree that 'hate' is the right word... the monks I've seen post here have shown a general trend towards being greedy, bigmouthed, abusive, and more.
I know there are some exceptions, I personally know some people who play monks very well... I fear that nicer people / players have been scared away from posting here because of complainers and hatemongers, and that's a sad thing to see.

at low lvls monks of course have bad AC but high end, they get practically the same AC advantages warriors do because VI doesn't realize that the high end tank items include monks as tanks giving them plate type armor which IMO is ridiculous
