The two things I have to say about this particular weapon are:
1) Farm it with a high level, and give it to low level pets. Pets will wield them, and a fourth level pet whipping off 44 is neat :)
2) Turn them in for faction (just destroy the box he gives you unless you are a ranger or druid) to Shamus Alleginew (sp?) in WL

This is now 2 hand peircing, no pets need apply.

I posted this item after checking the site for over a month to see if it was listed. I was given it by a high level paladin who said he purchased it off a merchant. It did nice damage when I was 19th level. I had just come back to the game after being gone for 8 or 9 months and had no gear but what I could scrounge up from green creatures, and the dead scattered all over. I still have it, but never worked on my Piercing skill. I am a wood elf warrior and now 26th level. I am debating on if I should use this, or sell it, but I haven't yet figured out a good price to sell it. I will have to look up the quest and see what benefits that gives.
They are about 35-39 or so, but very magic resistant and have a ton of HP compared to similar-conning mobs even elsewhere in Velious.
This item wasn't meant to be used, much like a lot of the items in Velious that seem out of whack with the difficulty to get them. This pick is used in the Friends of the Tunarean Court quest.

Erm, yeah, but you could swap it out to BS, then swap in your normal weapons (if you didn't die immediately after) until BS refreshed.

lol a piercing piece of sheet wurm... and rogues cant even use it
Rogues can't use any huge damage piercer, especially if 2 hand.
It creates a very large balance problem since they get freakish backstabs then.
There was a piercer that seemed kinda cruddy that dropped from a pirate in FV but the big damage on it and the fact it was rogue useable made it highly desireable. It was nerfed.
The best rogue piercers just get faster, they don't really have bigger dam. What rogue would want a 50 spd weapon that took up both hands anyway?? They'd have huge backstab dam but otherwise very cruddy overall dam.

Gunthark Harpoon, good fun like the Mosscovered Twig. Someone just missed the implications of them for certain classes. You'll *never* see a Rogue primary hand piercer with higher than 15 damage I'd bet. In fact, Kendrick said as much I believe.
