The blacksmiths of New
Tanaan have had opportunities
over the ages to meet planar
beings possessing magnificent
suits of chain mail armor
and on occasion knowledge
of their crafting. The rings
of these armors were
typically crafted from a
chunk or brick of rare
planar metals by melting
the metal into ring shapes
| and tempering them
with an appropriate temper.
A file is used to perfect the
quality of the individual
rings craftsmanship.
A Tanaan Smithing Hammer
and a chain mail pattern for
the piece of armor being
crafted is required as are
three sets of rings for a
tunic or leggings, two sets
|
|
of rings for a coif, sleeves,
gloves, or boots, and one set
of rings for a bracer.
Night Terror Chain Mail
This wicked chain armor is
crafted from the nightmare
iron mined by the hobgoblins
that dwell in the caverns of
the plane of nightmares.
| Each piece of the armor is
adorned with an Emblem of
Nightmare which grants the
wearer power over the
substance of dreams, both
benevolent and benign.
Hurricane Chain Mail
This magnificent chain armor
is crafted from electrified
|
|
copper found in the plane of
storms. Each piece of the
armor is adorned with an
Emblem of Storms which
enhances the innate magic
properties of the electrified
copper.
Inferno Chain Mail
This legendary armor from
| the deadly plane of fire is
crafted from molten metals
and adorned with an Emblem
of Fire which prevents the
wearer from getting burned
by the ever glowing hot
metal. It is said that this
armor was originally crafted
by fiends for a group of
loyal mortal servants.

Farwater Scale Mail
This beautiful cold scale
armor is crafted from the
e'cian ice of the plane of
water and adorned with an
Emblem of Water which
protects the wearer from
the cold of the armor and
carries the blessing of the
Triumvirate of Water. It is
| said that this armor was
originally crafted by a
Slarghilug hero that braved
the fires of Fennin Ro in
service to the Triumvirate.
Livestone Chain Mail
This legendary armor first
crafted by an Orcish
warlord that had been

|
abandoned in the plane of
earth ages ago, by the
survivors of Rallos Zek's
invading army. The warlord
wandered the planes fighting
for survival until he reached
the city of New Tanaan
wearing a suit of chain armor
crafted from the immaculate
steel of the plane of earth.
Each piece of the armor was
adorned with an Emblem of
| Earth which infused the armor
with the strength of the
Rathe.
Windessence Chain Mail
This beautiful cloudy armor
was worn by the famous air
mephit archer, Ier'Shon. The
armor is crafted from the
mysterious wind metal of the
|
|
plane of air and each piece
is adorned with an Emblem of
Air which carries the
blessings of Xegony, the
Queen of Air.
