Ok setup camp at roughly 300,200 if your at an opening to a dock, I got the coordinates wrong, you will need to move to 200,300. There is a little broken square fountain at the correct spot. There is one rat wanderer along with a couple golem wanderers and some of the ghosts also around here.
When I got close I flew my eye of Alyenbomb around and found him to be a wanderer. He wanders from the first building on the left in a path next to the fountain to the last building on the left in the next area. He goes up stairs in the back building, so total path time maybe a little under 3 minutes, although he doesn't wander the entire path every time. He is a little short compared to other golems and is gray, not shiny metalic.
Depending on your group you can figure out a strategy but don't depend on slow, root or mez to handle the golems except for poison based slow. However, I did find that some golems could be chain stunned he can't be. He has roughly 12k hp. I am certain a solo necro 66ish could take him with the pet heal AA.
I moved one mob at a time up to the camp pausing often to watch for wanderers. This zone used to be way more tricky but even if your solo or not well equiped you can take it slow and rarely get an add unlike before.
I wish SoE would just come out and say this so that the subject would just die:
CHA has no effect on FEAR or necro CHARM duration, probably has no effect on CHARM duration period. It does effect wether your charm will land on the mob.
The target's magic resistance and your level veersus the mob are the 2 factors that determine CHARM duration.
This has been proven by others and myself. Do not waste money on CHA items to help with CHARM or FEAR.
Negative CHA from items such as Zlandi's Heart, Hand of the Reaper can lower your CHA down to single digits. Back when I used to wear them I feared mobs if they were fearable, and I feared the same ones with the CHA Robe after a charm session in Veksar.
I have a Robe of Dark Beguilement off Nathyn in Katta with 100+ CHA which I use for charming undead, and I can say that CHA appears to affect the DURATION of mezzes and charms. I left this Robe on by accident after Veksar and with a CHA of over 200 still feared mobs.

Hrm...i know most people don't bother using this spell but has anyone tried using Identify? Sony has been known to give secret names to items only to be revealed with identify...
Hmm...Miragul is also the Necro responsible for creating Shakey Scarecrow in Rivervale. I doubt this particular item is related to that quest, but it is interesting that step one of that quest (either incomplete or unsolved) is chasing down documentation on HOW to fix Shakey's head.
That starts you in Erudin and buys you a slip of paper, that references Miragul. No one is quite sure where it goes from there but game background documentation gives you a nice bio of Miragul and says he lived in Paineel at one point. Have thought about chasing down places where he had lived to see if I could find any other slips of paper, but sigh could it be this item that is needed?
There's a red drake prisoner somewhere in PoJ, I forget where, but you can talk to him if you're good at speaking Dragon. He asks you to get his tome for him, no one knows what tome that is tho.
the dragon is a baby dragon mob dont know exactly where he is but he is constantly pulled in exit groups. I need to be able to speak dragon to talk to him.
my raid-group on erollisi marr has been *very* busy looking into this item's past =)
it is not a book the oracle wants, looking over it all he only wants the book of turmoil and of scale just yet still. and he's pretty specific about the titles of the books he wants.
we are thinking it is related to the present gm-event across all servers, and was an item given to miragul by trakanon. we believe dartain the lost was miragul's apprentice. giving the book to miragul is probably not going to do anything... though it wouldn't hurt to try =)
the tome allowed miragul to become as powerful as he became... but miragul is done with. the second and third artifacts trakanon gave his chosen are more likely to be productive, since the second chosen may still be living, and the third item trakanon may want back.

thank you for your post - I was just curious if the oracle would be interested in this book.
I have some questions tho :) What does you believe that Dartain was an apprentice of Miragul? Someone else believed that he could be the son of Edril, just because Dartain would be able to slain dragons with the rustiest weapon (Edril was also a great Dragonslayer).
And who do you think is still alive of the chosen ones? Nalikor is dead, Edril is dead - only Miragul can still be found on Norrath.
I picked this interesting little item up last night in The Hole. After a little discussing among guildmates, I managed to convince them to head out to OOT with me to go see the oracle out there to see if this was for helping bypass part of the paladin epic since verant put in some steps for several other classes recently for their epics. Well turning it in to the oracle didn't do anything, so we smacked him around like a red-headed step child, picked my book back up and we'll go take a look over at Miragul a little later this week. Wish me luck, and post if you've gotten any info to help out on this.
Well, as one of the (few) Cimmerii of Erollisi Marr, I saw this item drop. The same wraith also had a Withered Leather Tunic, with very delectable statistics.
Archaon is indeed a Necromancer, and uses the Tome for his combat gear. It has very decent statistics ignoring the charisma, and while it has been proven decisively that lower charisma has no positive effects, Archaon loves wallowing in filth :P People get so caught up in powergaming, sheesh. He can brag about having a single digit Charisma score with this equipped. Don't remember if it's possible to go below zero, though I KNOW he has tried :)
As for the Tome of Ages, very interesting comments about this potentially having some use... However my initial reaction is "not likely" since Miragul lived in a time period so dark it was said no history was taken down, as I recall. The Book of Scale is similarly MAGIC/LORE, though... but this seems more a grimoire, not a history. The Hole was Old Paineel, the city Miragul founded, though he later ran off to pursue immortality in the north. Just throwing out facts, worth digging around some more in that vein I suppose, though Verant's history with world events actually tying in to quests/real items is pretty shoddy.

Someone should try giving this to the oracle in OOT to see if you can get the quest piece to spawn the true Miragul. This may be a way to skip the book of scale.
Okay I was looking over this and was struck by no Iskar on the tome, which means what? I have no clue, just metioning in case this turns out to be the pivitol clue to the quest I can claim credit for it........but the Palidan shortcut would be sweet, it would make more people willing to go to the hole, hecht they increased the xp curve for that zone and it is still empty on most nights except for the people looking for spaulders or loam.....oh wait....Earthshaker too....STOP me from running....
Charisma has no affect on fear, I can fear just as well as necro, my charisma is 200plus my fears last as long and land just as well.
Charisma affects my charm, my prices and my ways with the ladies....so far that last one seems to be nerfed....
Hey..someone PLEASE PLEASE try to give this to the charmed Miragul the Lich and see if the life version spawns... think that would make countless Paladins happy and after all they gave the bards a new mob too to replace or to add to their Naggy/Vox scales.
In order to get the live version og Miragul, you hane to turn in the Book of Scale to the Oracle of K'arnon. That yields a phylactery which is no-drop. Give the phylactery to the undead Miragul and the live Miragul spawns.
Hail All, Just curious if it is readable. I also believe it is most likely for a quest, and although it is probably for some new quest, I have always held a place in my heart for the Shakey's Head quest out of RV that was never solved. Part of that quest does mention Miragul and his treatise on Scarecrows, so was just wondering if there might be something in here about it.
Thanks

sorry, but charisma is not related to fear in any way shape or form, it is a widely spread mith that lower cha helps fears, but if youll notice some people think higher cha helps fear, neither do. fear is NOT a saving throw for fear, only magic resist, lvl of fear and mob/caster lvl. the only reason alot of necro items reduce cha is because necros arent very charismatic, and items related to death, disease, and evil people would tend to reduce cha.
