#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 12 2003 at 10:39 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ac has nothing to do with wether you are hit or not, Agi and luck decide wether you get hit or not. Once the roll is made to see wether or not you ARE hit THEN the roll is made (using ac) to decide how HARD you are hit.
Uhh, think again...

Hmm, a monk not needing? Monks do a lot of pulling and take a lot of damage. I can tell ya, I hate getting stunned, and that AC is 2x what I have on an earring, hence lowered chance of getting hit AND stunned. Woohoo, thx AC.

Maybe if you were a real character class you would know that AC isn't hit avoidance but is damage resistance. Hence you are still gonna get stunned then gang raped by what ever you pulled. Kinda fitting end fer a monk in my opinion.

The AC is great, sure, but the stats are mostly useless for a pure melee class (monk, rogue, warrior). Those pure melee classes would have no reason to be considered for this item. Look at the Dragons Blood Earring to see why.

True, but as a monk you'd probably be FAR better off with the Living Thunder Earring from Vindi. Much easier to get, too (well, comparatively easy) :). Still, if you end up with this, grats.

Look very closely at the picture. Notice the All/All. Mages can use it. Yes, even a monk could wear this. But if a monk was awarded it, I'd shoot myself. ; )

Erobate who you just flamed (to a lesser degree) was responding to another post... at the top of the posts..... there is a drop down menu..... put it to Never Filter.... then hit the Change button.... now you will see that he was responding to someone who said that it was the wrong graphic....

Hehe speaking as a chanter who gets banged up a lot I love it for the ac and resists, and the int is a nice bonus. Once your int/wis is 200 plus.. it's just not a major factor in equipment decisions. This applys to most of the post 50 game. At that point designating some things caster vs healer vs melee no longer makes as much sense as it once did. Yes str/dex or haste is still slanted towards tanks.. but if it has 10 ac and 80 hp and can be worn by casters I still want it. And yes int/wis is still slanted towards casters/healers. But if it has 10 wis but no ac or resists you'll find many healers uninterested. I recently came across an ench only 7 int 7 cha bracer and let it rot because I dont need more cha and wont give up 7 ac for 2 int period ever.

#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 23 2001 at 5:27 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) no--actually that's exactly what an EARRING looks like
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 23 2001 at 4:38 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) wrong graphic posted
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 24 2001 at 12:12 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Heh...no offense, but you must not wear many different earrings. I've worn close to 10 now. This is a common earring model. Looks like the onyx earring (if memory serves, an onyx earring is +2 dex or agi)

Actually there are a lot of different earrings that use the same graphic, as is the case with most the equiptment in the game. They are not going to make a new graphic for every item.
