i ahd a glowing red stone and a Dracnid Thyxl equipped on my mage. They looks pretty cool. This stone is good for trade skill as everyone can use it. (all all). Not many ppl are selling it on my server though, unlike the glowing black stone.

Does this thing relate in any way to the fabled Glowing Black Stone, or GBS, as it is often called? If so, how are they related? I need answers. If anybody has any info, please share.

"Lots" of casters have GBS equipped in primary and Dracnid Thyxl in secondary. Similar stats, one red glowing things in each hand. Pretty cool IMHO, it's a fashion thingy. Just please get a robe that goes with the stones :P

Think of it this way..in farm areas (qeynos will be the farm) the ground is black (hence black stone) and in VL its red, kinda like texas..red dirt..hence why this one is red...u get it?

Hmm i think a lot of people are missing 1 thing. This is 10AC 50hp in primary! so between this and my ornater rune shield i can get uber ac! ^_^ the int is just fluff, i need the AC/Hp to survive mezz resists. BTW for all you CHA chanters, it makes little to no difference. Once i gave up on 200 cha (i go about 115 unbuffed) and went for 650 ac(unbuffed) and most hp i could get i ended up surviving a lot more. Just my 2 cp

Check out the Roykl's Channel Crystal. AC10 +50 Hps and mana. I use this unless I need resists.

Ummmm it's called a glowing RED stone yet it has an image of a clear one. I hope it is red IG.

Nosferatu you don't have to give up bash. What a lot of smaller race warriors do(who don't have slam) to keep bash is this: Make a hotkey in your inventory of the shield. Make a hotkey of your second hand slot. Whenever bash is up, switch your shield and second hand slot. Then switch back after the bash.

IMO, I think this item is actually pretty well suited for Enchanters, until they can attain an Ornate Runed Shield of course. They are about the only casters that REALLY need AC. As for Healers, don't bother. Yes, if this was a ranged Item, I'd throw away that Howling Harpoon in a hearbeat, but alas, it's not. But, I don't really think it's a bad item. And if (and I hope) it looks like a GBS you can be sure there will b eplenty of caster twinks using them so that they look good as well as having good stats.

why would you take this over your howler? howler is better 6 wis 40 mana and its range slot item :)

good thing its not no-drop, this is better for twinks, than any primary that could pull it, well, in most cases. its not bad for necros though, for the HP

Eh, i don't know about you Erobate, but an AC 10 shield is crap. By the time you are able to even assist in whooping that D dude ;) you should be able to afford atleast a Clay guardian shield which has AC 25 :).
Other than that it's alright, nothing too fansy :)

The classes that will use this item most effectively cannot use shields and/or cannot dual wield. Great for casters of any type. : )
Well...can't say for others, but even tho a Paladin is known for it's 1hs/shield combo, I'd put this in my shield slot. It has the a/c (and hell extra HP too) and of course the wis that a Pally likes. I would have to sacrifice bash, but hey...if it has a graphic (in hand) all the better. Nice item off a pretty difficult MOB...not bad VI. IMHO
and before you flame me, I know that a caster would find more use for this...was just saying that a Pally wouldn't mind this at all...and look, it's not NO DROP...:)

acctually im thinking this would be great for the pally that needs extra wis went he is made prime healer,,, which happens to me in Skyshrine almost every day im there :p this in primary, and a chared gardian shield in secondary would not be bad in that situation hehe
If you're a paladin, do the silent watch shield quest, and you can use a shield with 10 wis, 10 ac, that can go in the back slot (best place for it). Questable in, hmm, mid-thirties, I think.

Unless you picked a low wis race (*cough* half elf *cough*) it isn't very hard to hit 200 wis as a paladin.

Drops from Lord Dojo in Velketor, and its a pretty common drop. Too bad I never got to roll on it, I would have loved to use it.
