My woodelf druid blacksmithing is at 82 and I still fail trying to forge the Fier'Dal Sewing Kit.

Can U Sell IT?

Is there anyway this item can be sold in the Bazaar other than auctioning etc. since its not a weight reduction container (to get a token)
50pp? Really?

Someone asked my druid on Tarew Marr if I could make one for him (my smithing is 178) and I made two easily. To make the mithril bits you need two small pieces of mithril and a Morning Dew, then combine the mithril bits, thimble mold, needle mold and water flask. Everything has to be done in the Fier'Dal forge which is up one ramp from the regular forge in Kelethin. The thimble and needle mold can be gotten from the merchant who sells sewing kits, patterns, etc by the newbie lift.

These have the same number of spaces (10) as the original now Deluxe sewing kits, that I've seen sold for as much as 100pp. Also, items that won't fit in a normal backpack (such as Mammoth Tusks) will fit in a sewing kit. For a Wood Elf druid or ranger these are cheap to make, the mithril only costing a couple of platinum and the molds less than 2gp each. Even buying the Morning Dew for the usual 5pp each the cost is less than 10pp so, if I can sell them for 50pp I'll be very happy. In the mean time I intend to forage up some more Morning Dew and replace all my backpacks in the bank with these to create an extra 16 spaces. Yay!

This is better than a normal backpack. But it seems to me it should be compared to a Handmade backpack, which is also player crafted.
Handmade backpacks are made from a HQ Bear or Hopper hide and a Backpack pattern, so maybe a gold if you get your own Bear, of 10-15 PP if you buy it. The handmade backpack trivials at 88 and is also 10 slot large (but weight 3 with 10% weight reduction, so better for actually carrying around heavy things)
Mithril ore

If you are looking for mithril ore, go to the high elf city (Felwithe), and enter shop 4 (from www.eqatlas.com).

Go upstairs, merchant Tanalin Silverkale.

As it states in the description, This item is crafted by Players, specifically WE's using WE Cultural Forge...trivial at 168 I believe.

That is incorrect. I'm next to positive that you are confusing this SEWING KIT with the FLETCHING KIT.

FIER'DAL SEWING KIT: 72 trivial

FIER'DAL FLETCHING KIT: 163 trivial

Read it here about half way down the page:

It's a Crafted item
# Aug 15 2001 at 9:54 PM Rating: Decent
It is forged with smithing skill from mithral bits, a thimble mold, a needle mold, and a flask of water. It's used to make Fier'dal armor. As far as I know it's an Elven, racial armor. I don't know if non-elven flok can use the sewing kit.
Vale Kit
# Jul 05 2001 at 11:13 PM Rating: Decent
I have no idea what this Fier'dal Sewing Kit is or what it is used to make. I have heard of a Vale Sewing Kit that can only be used by Halfling tailors and is used to make Imbued Vale Armor. Can this Fier'dal Sewing Kit only be used by Elves and what is it used to make?

yes this kit can only be used by Wood Elves and it is used to make Mithril Reinforced and Mitril Studded Leather armor.

I didn't know it was available at a vendor. I thought you had to make or pay someone to make one with the cultural smithing skills. It trivials at a skill of 162 smithing, per the eqtraders.com web site.
