Well, to be honest, this weapon is OKAY, but not spectacular or anything. The guildleader handed it out to me last night, because I haven't finished my epic yet. When I do that, it will go into my golf bag of weapons because of the damage/proc fire resistance. I already have a Dawnfire in there. *shrug*
Its okay by todays standards but back when kunark was released this item was very very good. Please try to keep that in mind. Verent rarely revamps any zones with new items. I think they have done it maybe twice.
im sorry but...if i were a guild leader and this popped up...give it to one of the melee classes that can use that damn proc! not the best ratio but omg that porc is uber so whats the difference? ***** those clerics...they have enough wis items
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spell cast on you: You feel your skin ignite. Spell cast on someone: Soandso's skin ignites.
The velium superior maul or something that drops in ToV is 11/18, no proc but it is better then this thing and would probably be one of the fastest items in the game. maybe i'm wrong *shrugs*
Come on now, this is the fastest dam/delay ratio 1h bl weapon in the game at 1.888, every single class listed would want to use this weapon, and with a weight of 0.8 there is virtually no stamina loss. with a Wis: +12 and Mana: +50 its effectivly +18 wis at level 50 and +16wis at level 60. while the delay is high with a haste item and shaman or enchanter haste on with a dex buff for procs anyone using it would do some serious hurt. I cant see any class that can use it turning it down.

As a shadowknight i would never loot this..Clr Shm Dru is who need this thing. Ghoulbane stats P. Would have to count on the proc rather have my trusty nov blade.
As for the delay.. apparently all you people talking about the delay of this weapon haven't ever heard of a weapon called the "Wurmslayer."
Quit being greedy. Whoever gets this weapon will put it to great use, regardless of which class they happen to be.
Of course, as I'm a warrior and have no use for wis or mana, I'd let any of the wisdom types get this before I demand a random on it. But if it's a shadow knight, rogue, or monk, we're rolling.
And no, the wu stick won't outdamage this. Not with that proc.
Me tink druids nub bad, just dere lots of dem out dere. Maybe Moma Nature need to remember de whole balance ting....
Anyways, dis nice bashing stick fer Shamans. Me like idea of stick dat catch fire and burn de tings me try to smash. It get real boring sitting 'round healing and buffing and slowing tings. Me like hoppin into fight once and while and crush skulls too! Me IS Ogre Shaman after all who worship Greatest God in Existance....fer you uninformed louts, dat means me worship Rallos Zek. Him big boss of WAR!
But dis gud bashin stick fer anyone, but me tink you should give to me first. Me is sexiest ogre alive...
Tanks fer listening, Kyros Azagananthi 37th Ranked Shaman Worshipper of Rallos Zek Povar
With the great miss cycle Paladins get at least they still have a chance to Proc some dmg. The WIS is nice too. Besides this is about as good as it gets for most Pal weapons.
This item is great for monks that beef up stats like Dex and Str. Primarily dex for this item. As someone posted, this proc is a level 34 mage spell that does around 300direct damage. With about 120 or 130 dex (easily attainable by just about any monk) you'd probably see this thing proc 5 or 6 times a battle. The only bad thing about that is the taunt factor. Maybe it should go to the warriors firstly. You certainly don't want that kind of a taunt on your cleric LOL. Wouldn't mind it as a druid though. Shamen really shouldn't care about taunt factor as they have far more AC than druids and a pet usually to re-aggro the MOB. Ok, lots of wasted white space...TTYL folks.

The last statement was legitimate, but while it stated that clerics have it easy getting wis maxed, it left out the fact that monks have it easy when it comes to finding a weapon better than this. A ranger, on the other hand, might not be able to find a weapon with as good a ratio as a monk could, and also benifits from the wisdom and mana. And of course the effect is helpful for both classes. My opinion is that it would be best in the hands of a Ranger or Paly, especially the Ranger as Paladins use slashing weapons more often, and also use 2 handers more often as they cannot duel wield. In the end, it really matters who WOULD get the best use out of it, and not who COULD get the best use, as a monk might not have a good ratio weapon and the Ranger does have a high wisdom weapon, and the cleric has a low wis item.
i see it gives great wisdom and great mana stats but wouldnt you think this item would be best used by a monk? i mean most monks i know have realy high dex and if this thing procs 3 times battle thats over 1k dmg in proc alone . not to mention the fact that its 18dmg 34 del and weight .8 after all i dont meelee very much with my cleric and most clerics have their wisdom maxed long b4 they ever goto VP. this is just my opinion . dont rip me apart to bad
This weapon is to slow to be used effectivly in the primary hand of a melee class. If it was offhand useable it would be incredible for any dual weilding class. Because of the wis I would say this is a cleric/druid/sham weap
This is the person who posted "Rebutal (:". I feel the first RE: to "no im not a monk" is inaccurate. In order to be able to duel wield as often as you can I believe you need as fast a weapon in your secondery melee as you can aquire. But the primary having a slow delay and a high dmg seems to be a good thing to me by the time you may aquire it. If you could aquire this you would most likely be in a guild that IMHO would have you with a high haste item, possibly a casted haste item (I.E. Monk epic, rogue epic... ect.), and could keep you in a group that most often had an enc/sham casting haste, plus possibly being with a bard. This means your high haste percentage could very likely be halfway useless with a low dly weapon, as your dly would peak at 8 (I'm fairly positive that is the absolute lowest you can achieve). See my point? If you don't, plz don't rough me up too bad.
No, actually the "first re:no i'm not a monk" guy is correct, and you are mistaken. Many people have gone to great lengths to prove that secondary hand delay is independent of primary delay. If you have a 19 delay in primary, and a 34 delay weapon is seconday, the primary will swing every 1.9 seconds. Every 3.4 seconds, the dual wield check will be made, and if it succeeds, the other weapon will swing.
Now, as if this were not enough, the other reason you want your fastest weapon in primary is that your primary weapon benefits from both the level based damage bonus, and the strength bonus. The offhand hits for the weapon damage only. As an example, my level 17 warrior has an 11dmg/29 dly weapon in primary, and a 10 damage/29 delay in secondary (Icetooth claws, Blackened alloy LS). The primary weapon hits for max hit of about 26 or 27, as I have 148 strength unbuffed, and usually have a strength buff. Even with my buffed strength (182 was highest to date, with storm strength) I still hit for 20 (or 22, don't recall) max on offhand. When he gets higher level, and the level based damage bonus starts, the difference becomes larger. So what you want is the fast weapon in primary, to get the damage bonuses as many hits as possible, and the high damage, slow weapon in secondary. You'll get more damage output this way.
Last point, Unless you have an Incredibly fast weapon, you won't have to worry much about hitting the minimum delay cap.
The spell effect Blaze is a level 34 mage spell that does 276-295 points of fire based direct damage to the target. Not a shabby spell effect at all on a weapon!
My only question is why are melee types getting fairly high level mage spells when mages get things like reclaim energy steady(which is a level 1 spell for those of you who don't know). I would like to see some comparable effects on caster it6ems.
Druid all the way...although i might be a little biased being a druid myself :) Personally I would love to have this. Would come in handy to club on those greenies when i dont wanna waste mana.

You clearly are an inform,ed and intelligent person. A druid played well can bring a LOT to a group. People just think druids suck because there are so many of them, so more bad players play druids.
