I'm supprised this wasn't already said. They also drop off Barbed Bone Skeletons in Unrest. and the drop rates for Warbones in Unrest is better than any other zone I've seen. they're VERY common off the monks

so I made a half elf (bard) and decided to try making some don armor. looked up this here for places to get warbone chips and went to farming. Needless to say I pulled out the ranger after a while. Let me say this after 8 hours in LOIO tracking and killing war boned skeletons there....nothing. Ok off to Rathe didnt spend too long maybe an hour, not many skel monks to whack only found one. Next stop unrest....$$ I would say 70% drop rate off Skeletal Monks and maybe 10% off Barbed bone skeletons but like it says above A Greater Dark Bone never saw it once. Anyway if you want em hit Unrest. Now to find a good place to farm jade shards =/

The chips used for alchemy are greyish bone chips from the skelly warlord in Karnors Castle. These chips are for totemic armor.

no your thinking of barbed bones from barbed bone skelletons for totemic as far as I know we shamans have no use for this item

I don't have a shaman so I'm not 100% completely sure, but Belgar's definitive guide to Alchemy (http://www.starcrafter.org/alchemy/) makes no mention of warbone chips whatsoever.
Will also drop off Undead Rooks and Undead Bishops on Chessboard in BB mts.
