The way to do this is to buy your gold tickets. Either in the bazaar or with loyalty points. They are lore so you can only have one at a time. Your going to do t something similar to the casino mount trick

So you hand in the gold ticket and you will get one of these (no food):

1. Fungus Covered Great Staff
2. Holgresh Elder Beads
3. Rubicite Breastplate
4. Scimitar of the Mistwalker
5. Ton Po's Bo Stick of Understanding
6. Vibrating Gauntlets of Infuse
7. Guise of the Deceiver
8. Glowing Black Drum

These are lore so the next ticket you hand in will get you one of the others on the list but not the one you just got. Do not destroy it but leave them all in your inventory. Once you get your item then your done.

I always keep all of the items in case I make an alt in the future that I need the mount for or to let friends use them to get the mount for themselves. But you have to really trust that person that they will give the items back to you. You could also resell the items or buy them in baz.

Just dropped at the Casino

Have not dropped for years.

Obtained via gold ticket in the Shadowhaven Casino.

Gold tickets are available from the loyalty points merchant in Plane of Knowledge if you don't want to go the platinum sink method in Shadowhaven.

I suggest reading the threads on the casino/gold tickets before going that route. Spoiler: there is a set of top-level rewards that you win, the best way to get a specific drop is to have the others in your inventory ahead of time.

#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 31 2004 at 1:47 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) casino is soooooo very riged, i spent 180k in that darn place and have yet to win a single good item, i won those darn poison/rouge gloves, but im not a rogue, and some resist jewls ( worthless ) oh and about 253523523525 pieces of worthless food.
Casino odds

Anyone have an approximate idea of a person's chances of winning the beads in the casino, as in about how much plat you would have to spend to get a decent shot at these? I've not tried the casino yet, but would be willing to spend 100K there if I thought that would give me a 50/50 chance of winning this item.

Honestly, your odds of getting anything useful out of the casino suck pretty bad. I spent about 130K in the casino and got a bunch of illusion posions, fireworks, 3 resist gems, some stat food, a couple Deluxe Sewing Kits, and 'snakefingers' ()

I really wanted either the glowing drum or the Holgresh Elder Beads. I got neither.

One of my friends spent (literally) Millions of plat in the casino and got about the same as I did. he did get the beer goggles though. But he never got anything good.

Another friend of mine spent about 10k and got a golden ticket (which equates to a chance at actually getting the beads). He sold the ticket instead of turning it in to get his item.

I guess the point is that you can spend A LOT of plat or very little... though statistically if you spend a lot your odds are better than if you spent a little. However, statistical odds don't make winners. My suggestion is figure out how much money you are willing to dump into the casino and go and dump it. If you win, you win. If not, oh well. Walk away after your set amount is spent.
RE: Casino odds
# Oct 17 2005 at 10:23 PM Rating: Default
well, if you have a ticket your odds are like 1 in8 of getting beads. of course you can tweak it, most of the items that come from quest can be bought in bazaar, rubi bp,infuse items, mistwalker, and such so if u buy these items all the droppable prizes when u turn in ur golden ticket u got a 1 in 4 chance of getting any- beads, drums, guise. now if u already got a guise u can take that off the list, then theres the drums idk if u can get both colors, but if u cant once u win a drum u have a 100% chance of getting beads everytime. great for just farming like beads then reselling in bazaar. they sell for a ton.
RE: Casino odds
# Feb 25 2006 at 9:36 PM Rating: Decent
Actually since the Glowing Drums are not "Lore" so you could end up with multiple drums including duplicate colors.

I might have missed it somewhere in here, but maybe someone can shed some clarity for me. I just basically want to know the functions of this eye. From what ive seen it acts as a life tap tool and something to do with WTD. What is a complete list of its functions which would explain its enormous price. Never played a class with the luxary of this particular spell/item and never looked very much into it either.

This is an excellent pulling tool for any new zone and/or any zone that pops random (and is therfore impossible to know).

Knowing those 2 mobs that double for 800 are just on the other side of the door out of view can be of great use at times, and carrying stacks of stalking probes gets old quick.
RE: Curious
# Apr 02 2004 at 5:40 PM Rating: Good
yes necros or sk's can life tap it, after it dies necros have a aa ability to Wake the dead WTD. and control a recently slain enemy as a pet. its just nice for necros to have, to top up on life in between fights and not have to worry about when the group pulls next if they have lich form up and there hp's are being drained away.

They eye of zomm is just a spell that creates an eye that the caster can see out of for 5 ticks. the eye is controlable during that time so it can be sent pretty much anywhere with out causing agro. Thats its only function and its self only.
RE: Curious
# Apr 07 2004 at 7:27 PM Rating: Decent
The reason that it is so expensive is because it no longer drops. Instead of buying and carrying around stacks of stalking probes, you now have an unlimited supply of eyes.... from one item.

Their main function is to be used as a lifetap battery... or target practice for bored melee's as the controller of the eye tries to scout.

These can also be used pretty well in LDoN to scout ahead. Many times on my mage I've heard the druid say 'Nope, no named on track' when I'm staring the named in the face with the Eye of Zomm. Maybe I've just had bad luck with lazy druids, but this baby comes in very handy.

Also, if you need to peek behind a door or around a corner, this can be a godsend.
RE: Curious
# Dec 13 2006 at 10:32 PM Rating: Decent
First of all Druid Tracking is below par.
Second, cave walls and mountains tend to interfere with tracking range.

As a Ranger, I get the ability to track sort, and gives me a reasonable ability to determine the approx distance (in radius) of anything on my list, but as I am frequently called upon to "track for named" in LDoN adventures, I always have a hard time getting that named on track until we get at least 1/2 into the zone (@ 200 tracking).
Those druids are not lazy, they just have an inferior tracking, coupled with it's limitations. -Also, because Druids can't track sort, they usually have MILES of mob names to scan through, and it can sometimes take 2 or 3 min to read through them all (easy to miss a name in that mess) and by that time, you have moved across a zone, or mobs pathed, requiring to re-track the zone for an updated listing constantly. A mob within spitting distance can appear at the bottom of the list on Druid track.

This item, can also be used together with the , to have a gate effect back to the Overthere (summon the Eye, target it and then attack it for the proc). This effect is very awesome for any classes: melees can have a gate to OT (and can go to PoK quickly by the OT PoK stone); casters can now bind themselves at any loot camp, can then use the Eye+OT hammer to bank / sell.

HEB has just so many nice effects and thus it costs so much.... (drooling... :P )

Since the Casino was brought back... These are NOT no drop. The people that have won these within the past few hours have already put them up for sale on RN. I am not sure if you can receive some no drop ones from casino but the ones I have seen so far are definately not no drop! Downside to this: now there will be more available and unfortunately that can be economically depressing.... Good Luck to all

# Dec 19 2003 at 2:06 PM Rating: Decent
Won these last night at the casino with 2k my boyfriend gave me. I've been offered 300k for them so far. I thought about selling them, but I think now that I'm probably going to keep them. (atleast for a while... god even knows if they will bring the casino back)

I did do the summon eye + lifetap + wake the dead thing... it was pretty neat seeing this floating eyeball of death going around killing everything. If the beads were good for nothing else, they are good for this, atleast.

Wondering whether the Clay Bracelet (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=824) couldn't be used for eye of Zomm, since it's clickable from inventory. Will do the testing very soon with a necro friend ...

*EDIT* : we finished the quest, it doesn't work. When necro tries to click it from inventory, it just does nothing. That's too bad... :/

I wonder how rare this will become available as one of the upcoming casino rewards. I'd hate to be one of those people that actually paid 200k for one of these just to find out it's a pretty common reward from playing in the casinos for a while (ouch).
