i made the mistake of standing about 2ft away from Maryg and fished the hole in front of him for at least an hour and nothing, moved and stood pretty much inside him- and caught two within 10 min.
Go to Maryg the Fisher near the Y in the river
buy a lantern from them
fish in the hole right in front of them
quick and easy

A lantern works just fine to catch these. The spot is near Maryg the fisher near the fork of the river. hope this helps
