Santug's Stocking
# Dec 29 2007 at 3:52 AM Rating: Decent
Ok, here's the deal. For the first week or so you can do the save Santug quest. After that he is presumably saved. This is why he appears in PoK and home cities. Saving Santug is only for extra fun. It is not necessary. All you actually have to do is the fishing, the baking, recover the 10 pieces of Santug's list, locate a clockwork-dolly in BB, and the fireworks recovery. Now I'm not sure (because I don't like risks), but I would say (and did) that you need to talk to the Frostfell goblin in PoK (or whatever starting city you choose to go to) after each and every quest. You do 1 quest (I started with the clockwork-dolly for instance) then hail the goblin next to Santug. He will ask you if you have a [stocking]. You then say stocking back to him and he gives you a 2 slot 20% wr small container. Then you do another quest, rinse, repeat, and your bag is now 4 slot 40% wr I'm thinking medium size. You do this with 5 quests and you have a 10 slot 100% wr giant bag. If you did the quest for saving Santug then you don't have to do one of the others. Pretty much it takes 5 quests to get the max bag and it's just according to when in the Frostfell season you start as to what quests you have to do. I hope this clears it up for everyone confused. Oh, btw, I think the quest given by Zoog in GD is just for a 50% exp potion, don't think it has anything to do with the bag. I'm not sure, I've never done it, seemed like too much trouble for a potion and I already have a full stocking on 2 different toons. Later.

I've done Searching for Clues, Saving Santug, Santug's List, A Gift for Tinam, Fireworks (#7, high-level), and the Zoog Great Divide quests, the fishing and baking tasks, but not the Fireworks (#7, low-level) one and can't get anything out of the gnome to do the low level one. I've also done 2 of the ones regarding the Dark Mistletoe giants. I handed in my stocking and it says I have to do more tasks but they only thing I can do is redo the list and fishing/baking ones.

Is that what I have to do or am I stuck with the 8 slot 80% WR stocking?
How?

Ok, they list how to get it to the 20% one, but how does one go about getting the full 10 slot 100% WR version? Just doing the other quests, or is it something special for this specifically?

After you do the other quests, you turn in your stocking to either a frostfell elf or goblin, and they will give you an upgraded version. Each additional quest you do adds a size catagory, 2 slots, and 20% weight reduction to the stocking. I did the turn in in stages to see. So on the first one it becomes 4 slot, medium size, 40%, then 6 slot, large size 60%, etc.
10 slot, 100% WR

This started out as a 2 slot 20% weight reduction bag that holds small items. I've done the tasks from Santug (2) and the baker (2). When I gave the stocking to the helper after each task I completed it upgraded by 2 slots and 20% weight reduction as well as holding larger items. Mine is now a 10 slot container with 100% weight reduction and holds giant items. I didn't do the firework quest but I don't think the bag could get any better.

I'm SURE somethig better will come of it. I was, actually, slightly suprised at the lack of a combine button.

It looks like a new weight reduction bag that will evolve into a bigger and better one as we progress this quest.
2 slots & 20% at moment - will it evolve to 10 slots and 100% reduction?
