RE Ground spawn you will need evergreen leaves later --- the acorns and the evergreen leaves are really tiny you will probably never spot them unless you use /showgrass off command --- I kill all the tenders and protectors around the out side of the mesa -- the last one dropped 3 acorns.
Could not find any ground spawn foraging is not working well either; Pods of Water and Tufts of Fur -- protectors are 1 for 3 on drops Tired of waiting. I will deal with faction later
To do the whole series you end up having to get Windwillow Branches too You need 6 to do Ciodaru's gift box parts. So If you are doing this series you will be taking faction hits -- the Branches come off the protectors.
These along with Evergreen Leafs can be picked up of the ground around the big tree in the Windwillow.
You do get faction back (enevtually), but it's good to know
that the protectors can drop 2 at a time!

Can be found as groundspawn around the willow in Gorukar Mesa.

Unfortunately, for the quest you MUST kill treants and loot these. The ground spawns do not count towards the loot count.

I foraged one of these as well. Doesn't seem to be a frequent forage.
