The classes here are the majority of Cazic Thule worshippers anyway. Only CT worshippers that can't use this would be iksar monks, and troll/iksar beastlords.
why you guys all complaining about this quest? bearpaw was lt blue to me at 37 and i took him down with like 1% hp lost, what did you expect for such an easy quest?
okay is 20p plus getting an amber imbued worth this pos? maybe for a lowbie necro it would be good when mana>int but once you are high enough to get this its better to just get a good +int helm, hell at least get savants or something.
About the imbued amber i have noticed that only iksar shaman have that spell as all shaman races get different imbued spells there for dont look for any shaman look for an iksar shaman and if they dont have it well then keep tryiong ..If your on MM server contact Iguanaman Buffmyester he will be glad to help any on this simple quest.....
Iksar shamans can imbue amber, but are not the only ones that can. The imbue amber spell can be sued by any cleric or shaman who worships Cazic Thule, 29 and higher. This includes all iksar shamans, MOST troll shamans (troll shamans can worship Innoruuk too, but almost every troll shaman I've met picked CT to worship), and also some erudite clerics (erudite clerics of CT are very rare, most go with Quellious or Prexus).
Point is there is no race restriction on the spell (no spell has a race restriction, by the way); only class (cleric or shaman), level (29 or higher), and religion (Cazic Thule).
It's a Cazic Thule thing not a race thing. All Iksar Shaman are followers of CT, but not all Trolls are. IMHO all Troll Shaman should be CT though, the snare item from Neriak is just to cool.
True, however ALL iksar shamans (29 or higher) can imbue amber, assuming they have the spell. But it's not guaranteed troll shamans or erudite clerics can, because they have religious options besides Cazic Thule. So if you want amber imbued, easier to just do a /who all iksar shaman 29 65, then ask if they'll imbue amber for you. Some, in fact most, troll shamans can do it too, but not guaranteed. And Cazic Thule worshipping erudite clerics are fairly rare (in fact erudite clerics of any religion are not very common).
Iksar shamans aren't the only ones that can imbue amber, but they're the only race/class combo that are GUARANTEED to be able to.
Dreadful and an indicator of why quests in EQ are really not worth the time and effort as a whole.
I wandered into the warrens for a bit of faction farming. Found Bearpaws and the bat lord. Soloed them easy (as I was level 52). I could see that if I was a level appropriate player in the warrens, these guys were tough (they ran). Now, after all that, you get an AC2 STA5 MR+2 head peice? I'd be better off with a Raw silk armor headpeice or even a crystalline silk headgear! This really isn't in line with the level 20+ risks that you have to put up with when you do the quest (NOT to mention the costs of finding a level 29+ to imbue the gem).
I just say I want this hat. I don't care about stats, or things like that. I want to enjoy playing the game, and going off on how dreadful my hat is sounds like it will be tons of fun.

I'm not saying that warriors shouldn't get this, but what the heck are they going to do with +10 mana? Just found that to be funny. Are they a lot of warriors wearing items that give them +'s to mana?

Yeah, I've always found that amusing myself :P They should make variations of the same item, with the non-casting version having a hp+ instead of a mana+, or something. But leave it up to them to do something properly, hmm? >8)
Well, since the NPC that give's the quest is a necromancer, why make a hat that he finds no use in. Along with the sash form part one i think that this is kinda cool to have and rather useful for the you necromancer in training. And this quest was really easy for a 24 necro to solo, that hardest part was finding a shaman to imbue the amber, not many that buy that spell on the Trib
