Business has been great,
I'm very busy.
Unfortunately this hasn't
left me much time to invent
new things. So I took some
time to myself and went
back to work inventing
| things. One customer,
Barol Gergarn, a stout old
dwarf, wanted to be able to
make some of his medicinal
alcohol while on the road.
I had to send him off
empty-handed, as I had no
time for creating new
items. But today I decided
to see if I could help him
out.
I started with a good cask
|
| and found a way to section
it so that it could be
collapsed. I then used
some gnomish bolts to
attach a coiled spring into
the barrel to pop it back
into shape when needed.
Actually, I made two of
those, since it seems that
two are needed for the
brewing process.
Then I just added a couple
| of corks, a metal rod and
some sharkskin tubing for
the liquid to flow through.
I also needed a boot
gasket to prevent leaking.
When I had it finished I
sent it to Barol's home,
hoping he could use it on
his next journey. He
replied with a letter and a
rather large sum of gold.
I am glad that he liked it,

for her with Barol's gold.
