Scars of VeliousGot my lance 2 days ago for 1500pp on Saryrn. Seems to be what they go for.

this is not a complain..
Just 1cp but paladin will have hard time to use these 2h pierce weapons, by the time paladins reach level high enough to get these nifty stuffs.. they might as well has better 2hs or 1hs for them.
After all, who want to group up with "crippled" paladin who just put 50 practice points on pierce at level 50.. miss miss miss.. hit for 10 miss miss :)

Not all are so short sighted. This is an excellent weapon, especially for the new generation that got 2hp at the start. Gobb is right, go hunt low blue or high green and get your skills up fast with a shammie.

Get a shaman to dexi buff you up on a raid and use this weapon when things are slow to build up your skills. Many times you will have opportunities to build your skills in weapons up, and it really doesn't take *that* long if you are sufficiently dex buffed.
And if the Pally was in my guild, I'd be happy to see him using one of these improving skills on our guild only exp nights.

Take a pill, They day Rogues get a piercer with 30damage that they could BS with is the day every sing Magi and Wizard would say F'you Verant, were out of here. a 30damage weapon during a BS is not double that of the rage bringer but more along the lines of an exponetial factor. Even double makes a rogue BS for near 1k with out disciplines and with were talking 2k or more. This at NO mana cost. I have no problems with a rogue using this as long as they can not BS with a 2handed piercer.

god damn, rogues have never been screwed in the game (exept possibly evade) the only reason this is piercing in the 1st place is to make other classes work on that skill. rogues would be WAY more overpowered than they are if they could use this

Yea, I would be exploding chest cavities all day long backstbbing with this item. But no way they would let rogues BS with a "lance". Even that is beyond the commonly warped views of Verant. And don't lie to yourself. 2hand piercers are lances. Each and every one. They should have a delay like a weighted axe though..cause lances rarely got used more than once in a fight.

Thats not a rogue weapon but a big 2 hand.
Rogues that high would never want a weapon this slow and verant would never make a backstabbable weapon with that much damage.

Umm, if it uses the same skill anyway, how about a FS dagger? 19 delay. Costs you 10 minutes in solb. Might be easy enough to seek off this site and check for the fastest piercing weapons available.

FS dagger won't work for the people who are asking (ie paladins) however goblin eye poker will. 3/18 piercing paladin useable. For other options, check the equipment/search...by class&slot for the short list of pali useable piercers

i worked up piercing on my shadow knight with a Crystalline Spider Fang 10/22 + velium shards proc for 15 (i think) this is the ultimate twink weapon for the low level knights with a few pp to spare. at 30 i will prolly move to the Mithril 2 hander as primary weapon but until then i be using this. by the was the graphic is awesome. not like the jousting lance look that the overseers lance has.

All these items drop mostly in one zone, and are hard to get. How are we to get our skills up? Anyone know one of a 2hd piercing weapon that is fast and easy to get? I don't care about damage, I just need a fast one.

I thought 2 hand piercing was diff but went and checked warrior trainer and only one pierce. Wow thats nice for my sk if I ever get a super ratio 2 hand piercer like this.

A horrible trainer one is on othmirs in cobolt
scar. Its like 45 spd 16 dam or something, magic
2 hand pierce. It only sells to the otmir vendor
for like 3 plat and you get them a lot off warriors.
I gave one for free to the first level 30 or so sk I saw. You can almost always find them on the othmir merchants in CS cheap.

Yes, i believe that paladins can use a harpoon of the depths, 8/24, +2 dex, +20hp

Yeah 2h piercing and 1h piercing are the same skill thus you can use a Harpoon of the Depth and trained the skill up ... Mine is max now : )

Anyone know how high piercing skill goes for a SK?

You can also get a messenger of the queen right now easy from Crystal Caverns. They are only about 600pp now on Tunare. Plus if you are in a group and you are not the primary damage dealer you should be fine with that until weapon skill gets higher.

Best place to raise skill is on large plane raids. Clearing hate I got skill up a load of points with this thing.
