fungi staff
# Nov 23 2007 at 11:55 AM Rating: Decent
If these still drop, they are ultra rare.
still wrong info on this item
# Dec 09 2006 at 2:12 AM Rating: Default
This still has the wrong effect, this fungal regrowth DOES have a snare for this item. i should know i use it on my shammy.
only problem with this effect is it doesnt stack with normal regen buff.
Nerf or Not

How do you tell the difference between the Nerfed one and the new one?

Fungi IS the nerfed, you have it backwards
RE: Nerf or Not
# Feb 07 2005 at 12:31 PM Rating: Decent
Fungus Covered one is back....sort of. They have now added it to the casino along with the Holgrash (sp) beads, the DE mask, and other items. I think it's SOE so called answer to the economy problem. Put some really sweet items that they once deemed to powerful in the casino in hopes people with all the money will blow all their pp there and every one will have to lower prices to sell anything cause of all the broke gambling addicts trying to get the sweet items. Heh only works in reverse though...now folks gonna charge more for items to support their gambling habits lol. ;)

FungUS is pre nerf

FungI is nerfed

Beastlords!
# Jun 14 2004 at 9:56 AM Rating: Decent
Just wanted to add, confirmed this does NOT cancel out the Spiritual Light/Radiance/Purity/Dominion line which has hp and mana regen both. Good news for us beasties.
Staff + Tunic = ?
# Apr 07 2004 at 7:25 PM Rating: Decent
Does this effect stack with the tunic?
RE: Staff + Tunic = ?
# Dec 02 2004 at 10:16 PM Rating: Decent
Yes, it's a buff, while the fungus tunic is a worn effect. Druids and Shamen can do both at once and get 30hp per tick, that's what I do.
Dumb?
# Mar 12 2004 at 8:15 PM Rating: Decent
Kinda dumb that it says increase hits points by 5 at level 1 to 15 by level 20 but it can only be used at level 35?

staff and sow
# Jan 08 2004 at 5:57 AM Rating: Decent
Dont know if mentioned before but you can have sow on while this effect is on, and click the effect and start running at sow again, just make sure sow is casted after you click the staff effect.
RE: staff and sow
# Feb 08 2004 at 8:35 AM Rating: Decent
Currently, SoW will overwrite fungal regrowth but you can just click fungal regrowth back on to have both effects on. However, you will see no movement increase in having both fungal regrowth AND SoW on over just fungal regrowth. To recieve the movement increases from SoW, you must click off fungal regrowth. It's just that now you don't have to recast SoW every time you want to travel.

click on, click off...the clicker
# Mar 07 2003 at 3:30 PM Rating: Good
Click the staff while holding to cast. Instant cast time. Slows you down to a crawl. Click the spell icon to cancel, lets you resume walking again. Pity this cancels SoW. Have yet to test as to whether or not it cancel's horse summons, or works properly with it or not.
RE: click on, click off...the clicker
# Jul 16 2003 at 10:53 PM Rating: Good
My shammy uses this staff. As of the last patch it no longer cancels out SoW. You can click it off any time to resume running at normal speed.

It does not cancel out summoned mounts, horses or lizards either. Althought it will still snare you.

RE: click on, click off...the clicker
# Feb 08 2004 at 8:27 AM Rating: Decent
I have the pre nerf version and I also have a 100k Drogmor. I don't know if this works different for lower cost ones or horses... But, for me, it has zero effect on my forewards and backwards movement while on my mount. The only thing it effects is my side to side movement.

Also, it doesn't effect your swim speed. Works great in Plane of Water.
Possible for effect to be clicked off?
# Feb 02 2003 at 3:44 AM Rating: Decent
Just wondering if it is possible to click off this effect or if it is necessary to debuff yourself to end the effect early. Thanks.
No longer stacks with Regrowth
# Aug 17 2002 at 4:48 PM Rating: Good
Just to clarify the below posts. The click effect (which only works when equipped) on the staff NO LONGER stacks with Regrowth. It doesn't matter where SoW or Regrowth are in the buff order, the effect overwrites both buffs.

This is still one incredible Beastlord staff.

Regards,

Brelk

Rarity?
# Jul 11 2002 at 3:44 PM Rating: Decent
Any information on the rarity of the staff in relation to the rarity of the tunic, and the rarity of the Myconid Spore King spawn in general? Sorry haven't been into Seb much so just looking for the info.
RE: Rarity?
# Jan 05 2003 at 2:28 PM Rating: Decent
this is his rarest drop

Robe = common

Fungi tunic = uncommon

Fungi staff = rare

20 king kills over last few days, got about 17 robes 3 tunics 1 staff
RE: Rarity?
# Feb 05 2003 at 9:48 PM Rating: Default

Fungi Covered Great Staff:
clicks instant fungal regrowth at lvl 35
only works on you, and dont have to have yourself targeted
must be equipped for effect
effect overwrites SoW and other positive (meaning not snare/ensnaring dots etc) movement rate adjusting spells
does not stack with regen, chloro etc
gives about a 10-20 percent slow in walk/run speed ending up being a little faster than regular walk
does NOT slow your attack speed
*mobs will be able to outrun you* but clicks off just fine then you can jump away
regens 15hp/tick like regular regrow
duration is 50 ticks (300 seconds)

Hopefully this coveres everything =)
Very nice staff btw.

RE: Staff
# Feb 08 2004 at 8:30 AM Rating: Decent
It's a 42% snare at level 65, more specificly. 10% snare at level 1. Scales between 10% and 42% based on level.

Level it procs at I promise!
# Feb 01 2002 at 2:58 AM Rating: Decent
I got this for my twinked out beastlord, had it since level 30 every level I test it and at level 35 it clicks! THATS RIGHT AT 35!!!!!! not 40, as of today 2/1/02. Also its instant so I can pull send pet and cast regen then switch out weapons to my good damage ones and attack, before pet takes much damage therefor dont need to heal him. Currently I am fighting snow cougars in Iceclad and I have no downtime but to buff myself and pet. Not sure bout shammy or druids but this is GREAT for Beastlord.

RE: Level it procs at I promise!
# Feb 01 2002 at 3:37 AM Rating: Decent
Oh I also forgot to menntion it does not have a 90% movement reduction as I still have running graphic when I move I would guess the reduction at about 15-20%
RE: Level it procs at I promise!
# Jun 09 2002 at 6:05 AM Rating: Excellent
Decrease Movement Speed by -90% is only in reality at 10% reduction in speed.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 07 2002 at 7:45 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Is anyone using this with their beastlord? Seems like it would be a popular choice since the fungi tunic cant be used by beatlords.
Effect works for me at 35
# Nov 01 2001 at 11:01 AM Rating: Decent
First off.. it is NOT a PROC.. you click it while equipped.

I just got one for a twink. It clicks just fine at level 35.
