Fungal Regrowth
Regeneration for between 250 (L1) to 750 (L20) Hit Points (HP) in 50 ticks
Decrease Movement by -90% (L1)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Classes: None

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Skill: Alteration
Allowable Targets: Self

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Range to Target: 100 feet

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Resistance Check: None

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mana Required: 100
Spell Duration: 50 ticks (5.0 minutes)
Duration Formula: 9
Casting Time: 6.0 seconds
Spell Recovery: 2.50 seconds

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spell cast on you: You are covered by a sticky substance.
Spell cast on someone: Soandso is covered in fungus.
Spell fades: You have stopped regenerating.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

P.S. There are two Fungal Regrowth Spells in the database. The other one is identical, but it doesn't restrict movement. It seems like a reasonable conclusion to say that this one is the effect from the staff, and the one w/ no movement restrictions is the one from the tunic. Also, 250 to 750hp devided by 50ticks equals 5-15hp per tick, depending on your level.
Proc Level

I have a level 10 shaman that I am using with this and I can't get it to proc. Does anyone know a solid level at which it procs?

I'm a 55th druid on Tarew Marr. I often find myself hunting in the old world and would like to share a suggestion I use. Fungi Tunic + Regrowth of the grove lvl 58 druid spell (click effect of my thurg quest bp) + Coldain Prayer Shawl #7 + manastone = no downtime
RE: Full Potential
# Oct 25 2001 at 3:11 AM Rating: Excellent
Just out of curiosity ... What do you hunt at lvl 55 in the old world? Beside LGuk, SolB and KK there aren't many places to go at 55. I am Lvl 56 druid by now and I only hit the old world for shopping, pickups, raids, banking, tradeskills or something like that. Maybe I missed a good hunting spot, hehe.

nice regen
# Aug 26 2001 at 8:34 AM Rating: Default
I used this staff on my drood, but then gave it to my shaman because he's the character I use whenever I feel like pking ppl. He has iksar bp, regrowth and this staff. That adds up to per tick(sitting):

Iksar BP (8) + Regrowth (24) + Staff (18) + natural sitting regen (2) = 52hp a tick. Staff is better than tunic in downtime, and better in general than tunic for a shaman imho. I wouldn't trade this for less than 50k or so.

Acurate Data
# Jun 25 2001 at 4:44 PM Rating: Excellent
I recently bought this staff, and I love it! I lost a little wis from my old items, but with the added regen/cannibalize, I think I'm better off.

Just to answer some questions about this item:
* It is right clickable
* It does cancel sow and snares you
* It gives a 16hp per tick regen
* It stacks with cerimonial iksar BP and chloroplast, as long as you have sow on _before_ chloroplast (meaning that it appears above on the buff list)
RE: Acurate Data
# Oct 01 2001 at 3:52 AM Rating: Good
* And it stack with Fungi Tunic because there is 2 Fungal Regrowth effect in the database spell (2 distinct entry with same name) one that snare you and one not, so it stack , it s not the spell even if same name

* it DONT stack with Regrowth (or other pure regen spell) EXCEPT in the case where you have Regrowth JUST AFTER SoW in your buff windows (i comfirm that work then in outdoor zone)

for finish my 56 (Canabalize) Shaman is verry happy !
Double effect?

Can you right click this item and still wear fungi tunic for double effect?

Yes you can.
Fungi staff

I sold one last night for 50k worth of items. I guess a warrior can use it in the general slot and use it like Jboots.
RE: Fungi staff
# Dec 25 2001 at 2:55 PM Rating: Default
you can only use effects on items if you can equip the item. some items you can right click from the general inventory (i.e. journeyman boots all/all) others you must equip to right click the effect (i.e. bracer of the hidden all/all). not flaming, just fyi.
RE: Fungi staff
# Feb 13 2002 at 6:58 PM Rating: Decent
there are some staffs in circulation (not sure how many, but would assume a very very small amount) which are right clickable from inventory by any class, these are called 'pre-nerfed' fungi staffs. ALl of em used to be like that before they got nerfed by VI.
RE: Fungi staff
# Oct 02 2006 at 11:15 PM Rating: Decent
The counterpart to this item that is clickable by any race/class from the inventory is the Fungus Covered Great Staff, as opposed to this FUNGI covered great staff

I sold one of these for 60k on rallo zek. This is an uber rare drop frong king. Any people that can get that item should get it. THis item is insane. It wont be nerf like people said. U can power level any druid and shaman with that thing.

Fungal Regrowth
# May 17 2001 at 6:08 PM Rating: Default
I have it on the good word of three people now that this does NOT snare you, and it is in fact a permanent effect (i.e. when you equip the staff you automatically have this effect on yourself). It does stack with the regen line of spells, and will not cancel SoW. Picture a Shaman with this and a Fungi tunic on. Now, place him at level 34 with chloroplast. 18+18+12=48hp he'd regain per 6 seconds (1 tick). In the space of 1 minute he will be able to recover 480hp. That means basically that he can use cannibalize til he is full mana, then sit for a min or two and regen to full health. Insane!!!
Fungal Regrowth
# Oct 02 2006 at 11:12 PM Rating: Decent
Your "good word" is blowing smoke right up yer **** mate, because this item DOES snare you, and it is right-clicked, not a passive effect from equipping it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 19 2001 at 5:34 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If it is a permanent effect, then it won't stack with other permanent effects of the same name. I.E. Flowing thought I doesn't stack with itself, however it stacks with FT II. So you could use this with an iksar BP but not fungi.

Regen
# Apr 11 2001 at 8:30 PM Rating: Default
To get the staff to stack with your regen you need to cast sow then regen then use the staffs effect. The effect will then only cancel the sow and will leave both regens up. the Key is to make sure sow is before your regen on the effects list. I can regen 36 hp per tick this way with my cyroplast and the staff effect.
Effect is....
# Jan 30 2001 at 3:09 PM Rating: Default
Effect of this Staff is a right click spell Fungral Regrowth that does not generally stack with any other regen spells and snares you and cancels SoW.

It must be equipped to be used now and is self only. It can be dropped at will just like SoW.

It will stack however with any item with effect regen like Cer Iksar BP, Fungi Tunic, Rubi Bp etc.
RE: Effect is....
# Feb 07 2001 at 8:58 AM Rating: Default
It can still be used by all classes , equip in inventory . It also stacks with other spells still under certain circumstances
RE: Effect is....
# Feb 21 2001 at 9:05 PM Rating: Default
No it can't, I tried using it from inven and it states that it has to be equipped to use. It is, however, possible that the prenerf versions of this staff are still usable from inven.
RE: Effect is....

It does stack with other regens. My buddy has one and he let me use it and it stacked with my cloro. I did cancle my sow though.

# Jan 14 2001 at 8:14 AM Rating: Decent
