Argh! Talk about too much info! Wasted 15 minutes of my life that I will never get back relying on the coordinates to find this drop.
Here's the quick-n-ez way:
Go to the main room of the main building, where all the NPCs are. Do a FIND on Innkeeper. If you get the "mysterious" forces message, move around until you don't anymore.
There are two innkeepers and between them is a corridor with 6 rooms, 3 on each side. Plus, right upstairs there is another corridor with the same layout of rooms.
Take the stairs behind the innkeeper, go upstairs and the spawn is in the second room on the right. That's UPSTAIRS! The second room on the right DOWNSTAIRS is indeed locked but who cares, it's not the right room!

This is a book found lying on a tbale in the Inn in Crescent Reach (a ground spawn, so to speak). it is not dropped by Dranadune in Sunderock.
I was a bit confused by the directions below, and seeing that alla is listing this as a drop in Sunderock Springs, let me give a step-by-step on getting this.
Go to the main area of Crescent Rock, where most of the NPCs and elevators are. Go to the center of the main room. Now head south. There you will find an area that is supposed to be an inn. You will see two innkeepers there, and between them is a little hallway with six rooms with doors, three on each side. The "second room on the right" is NOT the one you want....that locked room has a groundspawn for a different quest, Kessrala's Package. Instead, you want to go down the hallway just a few feet and you will see, on both your left and right sides, a ramp leading up. Take either ramp up and you will arrive at the upper level of the inn. There you will see yet another hallway like the one below, with 6 rooms with doors. Go in the second room on the right. The door is not locked. The Note is on the table in the room.
And as for this being a drop of Dranadune...I don't think so although I can't verify it. As of this writing, it appears that a few Note posts have been accidentally placed in the Dranadune page. Also, the Note is not listed on the Dranadune page as one of his drops. But thats ok...with all the thousands of things that alla has accurately listed, a bit of inaccuracy is just natural.

You need a key to open the 2nd door on the right,ups , go upstairs from the locked door.

Its at the Inn. If your not sure where the Inn is, just us find for 'Innkeeper Fathus.
The books at loc -1603, -1505, -63. (Oh, and the respawn rate of these items is like a min.)
