Darkroot Plaguespore  

 

Also found 3 after i hacked "a plaguespore grove", witch is a tall mushroom plant found just north of /lo 530,960. You will have to kill a few darkroot's to get at the plants.

This is an item used in the quest "The Darkroot Gardens" which is the 3rd (i think) in a series of quests you get from Anderak (the butterfly guy at druid ring in direwind). The number 2 quest is "The Blighted Animals" and the number 1 quest is "Scouting Direwind."

Steps in the task
- Kill 10 Darkroot Carrion Gatherers
- Kill 10 Darkroot Gardeners
- Loot 4 Darkroot Plaguespores
- Kill Arakeen, Eater of the Dead
- ??? (presumably return the plaguespores or a drop from arakeen back to anderock)

Quest description text:
Anderak Says, "The Darkroot Sporali is the only species to benefit from the Direwind plague. They use the rotting bodies of the diseased animals to feed their gardens. Find the sporali corpse gatherers and gardeners and slay them. Be sure to take at least 4 Darkroot Plaguespores from their mushroom stalks to prevent the next crop of "agriculture." When you have finished all that, kill Arakeen, Eater of the Dead. He's the master of those abhorent gardens."
