Hehe, my friend asked me to get him this breastplate. I said okay, lemmie see what I can do. I come online to do some research, and the level to obtain says 55. I say.. hrmmm okay... I look it up and you have to kill this big ole' spider lady who quads for 500hp a hit... uhh... I told him sorry, I am only a 26th level Enchanter. He laughed. Called me a wuss and went to get it himself. Never heard a word from that char. again. Hehee, he died and corpse decayed. Got real pi$$ed and never bothered to log on again. =) Have fun getting this baby! She's worth it!

Both of those are not plate!!!!!!
And as for mithril. If you have ever read the lord of the rings books or watched the movie it is very tightly woven small rings, not plate.

Actually... mithril is just another type of metal, like steel. It is suppose to be VERY rare in Middle Earth as what did exist of it has mostly been taken and subsequently lost by the dwarves. Yes, the mithril that Bilbo gives to Frodo is a chain shirt but, mithril could be worked in the same way as any other metal so it could be made into plate if you managed to pry it out of the cold, dead hands of a greedy little dwarf. =P

Was a fun fight!!! Grats Rez and Map!!
Raltaas was fun....she summons, does monk style hits for 500+, and seems to draw every spider in the area to help her. One of the clerics that won a BP dropped in a single round from her flurry attacks, thanks to Verants wonderful new and improved cheal aggro =P (/rude VI). Post fight expect to deal with about a dozen level 50ish spiderlings that she spawns when she dies. Fun!!

well only thing I got to say to you is... lmao fool, you obviously didnt have a SK on hand in your grp(s) when you fought her.... or your SK is a sorry sap who doesnt know his spells.... We SKs are the future tanks of 60+ no warrior can hold aggro the way a high end SK can, we have so many aggro spells that it just aint funny... for instance our voice spells, it adds aggro to the target you cast it on (hense: on your tank) with them taunting and that spell aggro is pretty hard to break especially if the SK casting it is the tank, We SKs have such a deep line of strong taunt spells at your grasp and so many SKs are just that weak and dont know thier class that they should move on to a non-caster class if you cant master the spells an SK gets you obviously dont solo much and dont know wtf your talking about... thats my 2 copper pieces

not meaning to make this a class fight.. but.. how does your SK handle that agro that he pulls?? o sucking down cleric manna faster than a merathon runer slams Gatorade... realy.. where did you get the idea that SK's will ever replace warriors at MT's? they can get as high AC and HP.. but when the time for Disciplines comes to play, well sk's just get owned by warriors.. NO offence to any SK.. GOD you all save our clerics buns all the time.. nothing like a quick hate spell to rip agro off a over zelios cleric or Wizzard.. but SK's have a long way to go before they replace warriors as Raid Main Tanks... O just to keep the flames to a minimum.. SK's are dam good tanks in xp groups..

Just a guess, but probably around the same time that you realize that Rangers, like Rogues and Shamans - who also cannot wear this item), will NEVER be able to wear plate armor. Given the classes who can wear this item, it's pretty obvious that Verant is considering this item to be Plate (well, except that they allow Iskar to wear it. I assume that's an oversight).

Following this logic, it could indeed be wearable by druid or ranger.
Example- BCP, is a carapace, druid can wear.
Druid Hate BP- is very much a plate BP
Druids and rangers cant wear cuz the description says they cant, who cares why?

Iksars can't wear metal plate. A carapace would be a large plate-like piece of shell or bone that wouldn't have the same heat properties of metal plate. Ergo, good for Iksars.
Iksars have such a limited choice of armor at this level anyway, Verant needs to have some armor that they can go for.

30k? Ya, right. RBGs are 200pp too. But really, who in their right mind would sell this BP? It's one of the best BPs in the game in my opinion - up there with matchless dragon BP and just as rare.
yeah, as you said no one would sell it. Someone in the raiding party would get this, or maybe a guild would sell it if they were all already too uber. Its just an arbitrary high nutty price for an item not likely to be sold.
I got efreeti boots at level 49 or so I would not have got anyway from a guild selling them for 9 k for plane of sky funds. Are they worth 9 k? Well they were for me since there was no other way I seemed to be getting them at the time. Really just doing some ghetto farming I came up with the 9 k in 3 days.. mostly selling the same 2 items that dropped in lake of ill omen.. over and over ; )
Gad though I wish i Had 30 k when someone was selling this, slap that thing on my cleric ; )
The POG BP's kinda kick this ones' butt for like very class though right?

Yes this is a nice BP and it cost a lot, but the thing is some people might just want to trade a Fungi covered scale tunic for this sucker, beside want do you wand more ac that can be subsuted or a armor piece that is the ac of 21 a few +s and -S and regenration witch is a realy good thing when you get the S*** bet out of you and your cleric is OOM or LOM?

Well, the thing with the Fungus tunic is, it's healing you 180 hp a minute. If you're the main tank and the mob is hitting for 150+ a swing, 16 extra AC might make it miss one more time a minute. Making this the right choice. But I'm not even sure if 16 ac really would help that much.

Regrowth + bard song + 55th level regen + Fungi = 60+ hp a tick... with Enchanter crippling and shammy slowing I was getting a CH once every 20 minutes in Seb.. was pulling D1 and D2 so there was no shortage of mobs.. On average I was at full health unless I did a multi pull of 3+.
So fungi is not just for soloing.

Well, assuming you are able to get a group with all the classes you need for 60hp a tick, I'd be happy with the higher AC and a good cleric Complete Healing me every 5 minutes. My Seb group usually consists of Me (58 Warrior), 60 chanter, 58 monk, 60 druid, 56 cleric, and 57 rogue, and we usually kick ***. In reply to the guy who said at the level you need to be to get this, you would have better... not true. Not everyone belongs to an Uber guild and not everyone has gotten their Planes BP or Velious Quest BP. I for one am using a Phase Spider Carapace and I'd love to get one of these. As for the Fungi Tunic, nice for soloing, but in a group, fighting mobs that double hit for 500, regen is almost pointless except for maybe between fights.
I'm in a pretty big guild and I don't have better than this. Plate BPs are pretty rare, especially the higher level ones. I'd be more then happy to see this. I'm currently using Engraved Royal Velium myself.

The fungi tunic is not a sufficent BP for a Tank, not even in a zone like Sebilis...

Fungi's are mainly used on plate classes when they don't have anything better. When grouped/raiding, AC is pretty much always preferred over regen. And this equipped over fungi would probably add 25 or more AC.

um the Stats are atmost better then the Red dragonscale bp which sells for 50-60k
And anyway if you were the class that can use it you would use it

Hard to say. Queen's rare, very tuff, and this BP is one of the better plate BP's that are tradeable.
I'd say it will be worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it, and another is willing to get to part with it =)
