This item is listed totally wrong. For one thing it does not have clarity II (at least not anymore), and the one that is found in Mistmoore through the flower quest (which this one lists) is NOT the Scepter of Tears, but it is the Scepter of Sorrow....for the Shadowbound Boots quest (even though on this page it says Gloves). The Scepter of Tears is really found in Lower Guk and it's for the SB Gloves quest. Alla's has this way messed up.

Guys,. they nerfed this item ;D ,.. ppl was farming it who where not necros,. not sure what it does now,., but who cares,., as a necro you dont WANT clarity,. it just adds Rsi ;D /em clicks off clarity

Was C2 even available at the time they made this item and quest? I mean it's a kunark spell and these quests seem to be all pre-kunark type quests. Maybe it was meant to be something else but got bugged when they added the kunark code in or something...

FYI, us "casters", necros, have our own version of clarity. Have you ever heard of a necro shouting for a clarity anywhere? Besides, its an item for a quest and the reward for the quest is much nicer than the scepter.

I have an enchanter (30), and a necro (14). Necros dark pact series of self mana regeneration is better than clarity. Maybe clarity 2 would be better than the dark pact variant when you can obtain this item, but i dont think so.

yes, the necro line of spells that are better than clarity are bugged.. but they aren't going to fix them. They screwed them up when they switched the spell effects for pvp, but probably felt sorry for the necros that were left playing because they had already nerfed them into stupidity.

1. Clarity 2 is nice to have in reserve when you find your self in that rare situation with nothing to drain for health and hurtin. Makes recovery from total depletion (just shy of death) that much easier. not a bad item to carry just in case. Unfortunately, it does not have that effect.
2. The necro line of mana conversion spells are all equal or better then their equivilant breeze line spells of the same spell level. When you get to Lich it is no competition.
3. Clickables always rock -- especially one you may have found on the ground.
4. They nerfed us necros because there were too many loopholes for them to exploit in the past and they just didn't know when to stop. We had all but become the druid of the intelligence casters before Luclin came out. Now we find ourselves a little better off with a wider variety of spells - including the new group tap line.

This is for the shadowbound armor quests from sol ro. I got this sceptre a few months ago, and it was sitting in my bank. When I finally cleaned it out, I noticed that the sceptre had 0 charges left. What happened was during a recent patch, someone made a booboo :)

This item is real. But you can not use the charge. The scepter is not equipable and you are unable to click the effect either. Just a cruel joke on verants part.

If you are truly concerned take it up with AllaKhazam (if he has time for it and isn't insulted by your opinion of his checking on matters) or the person who reported it. It seems every item listed on this board has the same post now of "FAKE" and it doesn't add any information to the board. This item is not fake, this sceptre is used for the shadowbound gloves quest. You pick the item up at the top of the water falls of Lower Guk. It spawns on the ground, underneath a chair. Some people call it "the sceptre room" When you pick it up, it just says "a sceptre" When you use a wizard "identify" spell, you find out it is the "sceptre of tears" which is what the lady in the temple of solesek ro, asks for when you hail her for the shadowbound gloves quest. The effect can't be used,not even in your inventory slow, and this is why. You do not get the information about the items actual name or effect until you use a wizard identify spell on it. Well, the item is necro only. And it is NO DROP. So the only person that can 'release' or 'identify' its magical powers(effect) is a wizard who doesn't have the ability to use it, since it is necro only. And he can't identify items for other people. If necros ever get the "identify" spell, then they will get to use this. But until then, it's effect will remain useless. Oh, btw, you don't have to identify the sceptre in order to turn it in for the quest. You can just give "the sceptre" to the quest lady. Or you can give her "the sceptre of tears" does not matter. Works either way. The gloves are some pretty spiffy necro gloves. Pretty easy quest to do too, if you can solo shadowmen.

JUst a couple of minor corrections:
1) Wizards aren't the only ones with the spell: Identify. Enchanters have it as well (possibly other classes also) and it is found on several items.
2) you can indeed identify items for other people. The other person merely has to put the item in question on their cursor and have the wizard (enchanter, whoever) target them and cast the identify spell. I've done it many times.

I'm a druid of the 54th level and Verant has also claimed that they would not put any sort of clarity, breeze, or clarity 2 on any items even if some of them have charges. The flower quest results in a sceptor but it does not have the effect clarity 2 i use this quest to raise my faction with Temp of sol all the time and none with the effect of C2. Fanorn Draffut 54th druid on Cazic thule server.

This item is not fake, i have been camping in mm on and off and turned in a flower recently and got one of these, it clearly is a mistake on verants part and they might have fixed in this last patch ill go check it out, and im not even sure if it was usable, if it was necros could clear the graveyard by themselves almost heh

You give the flower you get a weeping wand back, which is one of the items you need to get (name escapes me since I did it in the 30s) wand that has 3 charges of strip enchantment, and some stat bonus's. The quest has not been changed in over a year and a half.

Not a fake, was camping in MM aswell and have had one in my inventory a couple of times; Actually didn't know where the heck it came from. It was nec only though so I just destoryed it since it was no drop.

I'm the one who submitted this picture. It is not a fake. I couldn't right click it, and a level 30 necromancer who was in Mistmoore at the same time as me said he couldn't right click his either. Not sure if you have to be a higher level, or if it's broken, or what, but the scepter does exist.

uh guys, if you didn't read anyparts above I will give you the lo-down, THE CLARITY 2 EFFECT DOES NOT WORK, however, THIS ITEM DOES exist, it is for the Necromancer Shadowbound Gloves quest!
