I am trying to find a good chest piece for a female, half elf druid friend.. that looks like a bikini top.. any suggestion?
Hmmm......
# Apr 17 2005 at 7:54 AM Rating: Decent
Currently i have this one's little bro-Rowyl's Chestguard of Nature, same effect, but slightly lower stats. If you cant get this one easily, try for RCoN. The rarest item drops off of lvl 45-60 mobs in KD.

Hope this helps =)

"by the time you get up to were you can do quests to raise faction with the dragons you will all ready be KOS to both dwarfs and gaints. When you get to the point you can do the dragon armor quest you will never be able to repair you dwarf and giant faction."

How do you figure this? I am maxed good faction with both CoV dragons and Thurg dwarves..

Kael arena can be done with 2 peeps maybe 3 not a big raiding place anymore. If u can get a 58+ shammy and a warrior then arena is a duo place.
Nature Walker vs Tunic of Kinship
# Aug 23 2002 at 1:28 AM Rating: Decent
I went on a guild raid a few weeks ago and i got this Tunic of Kinship and these are the stats.

+25 AC +15 Str
+15 Sta +15 Wis
+10 svM +10svF
+10 svC +10svP
+10 svD +75 hp
+75 mana +2.50wt

Which one do you think is the best?

When push comes to shove, the Tunic of Kinship is probably better. Better saves, stamina, and more raw hp and only 5 less mana. Since they added in an upgrade to RotG at lvl 63, you probably won't be casting RotG that much on raids/serious exp groups. However, if your doing a lot of stuff where the extra 10hp per tick from Blessing of Replenishment won't matter, or you aren't lvl 63, this tunic is awesome since it saves you so much mana.

If you really want the effect, the easiest thing to do is just buy the thurgadin mq or camp the mobs for it.

Basically, it comes down to how much you cast RotG. Cast it a lot, then this is better. Don't cast it that often, then the ToK is better.
WHY?
# May 03 2002 at 10:15 AM Rating: Decent
I have a question, why get 4 or 5 groups in Kael in hopes of a very rare drop to get this BP? Yah it is nice, and I love Kael, but...

Why not go after the elysian tunic, in many ways better, or just as good, even has better resist, (tho it does not have a right click), AND you do not need a raid sized group to attain. When I got mine, I was soloing (with C3), but still...soloing.

2 Druids (both lvl 53 or higher as they get WD), can do it very easily. The elysain tunic is a rare drop, but while you are trying to attain the BP, you will also get the complete elysian set (the legs and helm are very decent).

Just my 2 cents
RE: WHY?
# May 05 2002 at 4:37 PM Rating: Decent
First off, the ancient leather tunic does not drop in Kael, it drops in ToV (not HoT) off of named dragons.

Second, the right click effect is a spells that would cost 600mana when cast. In raid situations this righ click effect is more valuabe than the slightly better stats of the elysian BP.

So much for "why". Other than that you are right, the elysian BP is easier to obtain and has better stats. So get both. =)
RE: WHY?
# Jul 26 2002 at 9:22 AM Rating: Decent
I agree on getting both..
I have the elysian and in terms of overall stats, the elysian is better.
However, I am in search of ANY BP that casts Regrowth of the Grove... very handy in groups and to a lesser extent, raids (as you can only cast on your own group)

This is the best BP that has the effect, and if acquired, would have to think if I would keep replacing chest items or not.
min lvl is wrong

55 is bare minimum and it requires an uber guild where everyone works together. The leather is rare itself ive yet to see a bp drop and ive got a full set of this except for the bp
no worries

I've got most of this stuff from ToV, I lack the tunic, but I've seen 3 drop already. It is attainable, just need at LEAST 5 solid groups 55-60th lvl who have their act together and the stuff will drop. I've already got half of the gems I'll need to complete the quests as well. So have faith...This stuff is NOT impossible to get.
Druid Sets of Armor

Does nobody count the ES gear as a set i mean sure it aint that great well i think it is besides the fact little has stats bonuses that i have seen so far but come on people it has one name so it is a set in my books especially since i have no chance for this for at least 11 more levels.

If you have a dream of a full set of ES you might as well start by holding your breath...the ES BP is dropped by Trak and I've never heard of one dropping, I think there might have been two or three EVER on my server...Legs are droped by VS in Karnors and they are nice and rare...I think I've actually seen 1 player with them. The SoV quest armor would be easier to get imho.
Better Late Than Never
# Apr 29 2001 at 1:50 AM Rating: Good
I was a tad disapointed when class specific armor came to full bore - ie.. crafted - totemic - darkforge - ravenscale - all very decent armor for mid level characters of there respected classes. Then after much todo and searching finding druids off that list completely. Seems to be that an actual FULL set of some type of armor was never going to come (besides my uber tailored items and hodge podge set of whatever gives the most WIS). Having something to finaly look forward to in regards to armor besides planar is and has been a long time coming for all classes. I can't wait. Very tired ATM and noticing all the morons posting about the other peices of quest armor... All i can say is get a damn grip already. Finaly druids get *something* and you complain?.... Then read yur rave reviews of how good or bad a specific Quest item is of this armor. Write down the AC MANA DEX *whatever* stat and add them all up... Plus the clickable effects of all the peices that apply.. These are some very nice stat bonuses. This is good armor period and will more than round out any druid character.

Heh, I dont care about Kale Factions. As for getting good faction with dragons destroying thurg faction. This isnt so. I am already dubious with dragons from killing giants alone and am "kindly" to the dwarves. To get fast faction with the dwarves you simpley need to do the Coldain Prayer Shawl quest.
Has been upgraded!

Correct stats are now:

ac27, 5str, 5dex, 15wis, 40hp, 80mana, 3sv fire poison, 2sv cold disease, 10sv magic

effect and weight are the same.

And the green looks great on Halfelfs :)

Good luck on getting the ancient leather tunic in Temple of Veeshan and 3 Black Marbles

Tizmak Look!?!?!
# Mar 17 2001 at 10:41 PM Rating: Default
So this looks like dark green Tizmak or Ulthork Hide? ARGH! Halflings are cute in it, Wood Elves look quite nice, humans, not TOO bad....Half Elves...*cries* I look like I have some sort of skin disease. No one chooses a druid for the fashion, but did the Tizmak texture have to be so damned ugly for Half Elves as compared to the other races? And I thought Half Elves in chain looked bad! If I can ever find the time to get a little higher, my 52 druid will go for this, of course....but I'm sure glad I have my little cleric to take all those fashion impulses out on :)

Confused
# Mar 14 2001 at 7:35 PM Rating: Decent
Arent the Kael quests harder to complete than skyshrine ones? If so then why does this chestguard less stats than the skyshrine one?
RE: Confused
# Jun 10 2002 at 6:05 PM Rating: Decent
OK, this is a little complicated, but interesting. Once you reach a level (not just character level, but player maturity) where this is reasonably accessible, it also becomes common to have access to items that go in slots other than your primary armor slots (head, hands, feet, wrists, arms, legs, chest) that give dramatic stat improvements. Once you are at that point, what you really want from your armor, more than anything else, is AC, because you have plenty of room to adjust your stats elsewhere.

This is why, when Elysian armor was first discovered, it was so coveted. While the stats stunk, it had AC close to what plate wearers get. Once it was nerfed, it became more like Velious quest armor; nice, but not "uber".

So, Nature Walker's armor is worth the effort in comparison to the other Velious quested druid gear, not for its stats, but for its AC.

How does this proc work ?
# Mar 01 2001 at 11:46 AM Rating: Default
How does this proc work if you are not lvl 58 ? Does it still fire automatically even if you dont have the lvl or spell in your spellbook ? Or do you right-click and it works anyway, regardless of your level and spell ownership?

Xev -- lvl 52 druid
RE: How does this proc work ?
# Mar 03 2001 at 5:33 PM Rating: Default
It is not a proc, it is a clickable effect that you activate. I would guess it works anyway even if you aren't level 58 as the minimum level to attain is 50. I'm working on getting one so I'll let you know as soon as I find out.
Spell Proc

Regrowth of the Grove is a level 58 druid alteration spell that costs 600 mana normally. It provides the entire group with 15pts of regeneration per tick for 15 minutes. The spell is listed in Caster's Realm as a level 50+ drop so I'm not sure how rare it is to find, though I doubt it's as hard to get as this item.
RE: Spell Proc
# Oct 24 2001 at 9:40 PM Rating: Default
actually, Regrowth of the Grove is very rare, infact most of the druids in my guild dont even own the spell (we all stopped looking for it after we got our kael bp's)

It's our level 58 group regen spell - very sweet :) 600 mana little sucker, so you've got to know the unlimited charges on the tunic are an excellent deal.

Is there a difference?
# Feb 27 2001 at 8:01 PM Rating: Default
Does anyone know whether there is a difference between the Keal armor and the Thurgadin armor? Also, which quest is easier to do?
RE: Is there a difference?
# Feb 27 2001 at 8:59 PM Rating: Excellent
16 posts
Kael vs Thurgadin BP:

AC 22 / 20
STR 5 / 5
WIS 14 / 14
CHA 0 / 4
HP 30 / 30
MANA 80 / 80
svFire 3 / 0
svCold 2 / 5
svDisease 2 / 5
svPoison 3 / 0
svMagic 7 / 7
Wt 3.5 / 3.5
Effect same

Basically, they're very simmilar, Kael quest armor gives slightly higher AC but Thurgadin stuff gives an extra stat boost instead, the cleric armor is simmilar.

It all comes down to this, do you want to kill giants, or kill dwarves/dragons?
RE: Is there a difference?
# Mar 22 2001 at 9:48 AM Rating: Default
All the armors a good they just get bit beter as you work your way up. By better i meen +20 mana or +2 more to saves.

Dwarf Quest have the worst stats but for most races they are the easiest faction to build up.

Giants have a bit more AC and saves. But faction is a bit harder to get up need to kill more dwarfs that you would gaints to get up the dwarf faction.

Dragons for the Skyshrine quest. This armor is the best having more AC an extra +5 or so to saves and an extra +20 or +30 hps and mana for most items. Faction is not fun to have to build up as most races are KOS from the start. by the time you get up to were you can do quests to raise faction with the dragons you will all ready be KOS to both dwarfs and gaints. When you get to the point you can do the dragon armor quest you will never be able to repair you dwarf and giant faction.
RE: Is there a difference?
# Oct 05 2001 at 3:29 PM Rating: Default
Small correction; Kael armor has higher AC than CoV.

Not True.. Kill the Quest Mobs in Thurgadin and get to the faction lvl you need to have for the quests in no time.. They have a mutch bigger faction output. ;)

RE: This is great.
# Feb 27 2001 at 7:22 PM Rating: Decent
only very slightly like, as cobalt is a drop and this stuff is insanely hard to quest for. But yes, great armor, weight is right, AC is in line for class and regrowth of the grove is an excellent spell.
