Can r. click them at 21, though haste only lasts for about 7 mins. At lvl 31 it's lasting for about 10 mins. VERY nice item, check bazaar for mana batteries, save money vs. IC!

These have been a very good Investment, I was lucky to get these for a very good price of Qizar on Tarew Marr got them on special price, if you need any Tinkered goods hes the man.

I still use these all the time and come in very handy when there is no enchanter or shaman in the group. It Adds 40% Haste to your existing haste, it will not stack with chanter/shaman haste. It costs around 5-6p(with good charisma) per 18mins to use (Class 5 Manastone is a minimum of 55p which gives 10 charges).

It is a Gnome Only Item and probably only real usefull for a Warrior unless a Cleric feels like tanking.

Only 2 places I have found sell mana battries so far I know of and thats from the Gnome Pirates in Iceclad, and the Key Master on the first Island in the Plane of Sky.

I normally just click them in arm slot for effect then change back to a Higher AC Arms.

This still

War and Clr only?

Makes zero sense why a Cleric can use this but a Rogue cannot.

So, the time has finally come...

Bards are destined to be replaced by Gnomish Tinkerers! Bah! What a world, what a world!
RE: So, the time has finally come...
# Oct 02 2002 at 5:28 PM Rating: Excellent
Not quite true...

Bards get their first *stacking* haste at level 50, and these haste songs add between 5% (L50) and 25% (L60) in addition to the right-click effect of these vambraces. Bard stacking hastes also allow you to exceed the haste caps.

So, bards aren't replaced quite yet (unless Verant continues to nerf bard stacking as they did in the 9/26 patch, but that's another rant for another place....)

NERF?
# Feb 26 2001 at 11:38 PM Rating: Default
something tells me this will deffinetly be nerfed either the cost of the mana battery or the ability for everyone to use it.or i could be wrong, wich i realy hope to be.
RE: NERF?
# Feb 27 2001 at 9:26 AM Rating: Decent
Doubt it will be nerfed for hopefully two reasons. There are not very many gnome clerics or warriors out there, and the skill, price, and effort put into this is well worth the effect. Next time you run past the windmills in steamfont look at the price of some of their components ... sheesh some of those pieces are expensive.
Effect

In order to use the effect, does it have to be worn?

Nope. Right-clickable effect. You can click it while wearing or not. Doesn't matter.

So as a human monk, can I use the effect from my inventory?
RE: Re: Effect
# Feb 27 2001 at 2:01 AM Rating: Default
nope, class limited, so only clerics and warriors can use the effect
what about race?
# Feb 27 2001 at 3:31 AM Rating: Default
can a human warrior for example use this ? i don't think so, anyone got info ?
the class fits the race not :)

All Clockwork Watchman Armor can only be made by gnomes who have specialized in the art of Tinkering. All pieces use fine plate as the base armor as well. The charges on the armors can be recharged if you combine another Class V Mana Battery into the piece in a Deluxe Toolbox. For the vambraces the following items are needed:

1 Unstained Small Fine Plate Vambraces
1 Cog [Velious]
1 Sprocket
1 Grease
1 Metal Rod
1 Holgresh Fur [Velious]
1 Class V Mana Battery [Velious]
1 Metal Twine
1 Gnomish Bolt
1 Metal Fastening

Combine all items in a Deluxe Toolbox [Velious]. There is an Igloo in IceClad where you can buy the items marked [Velious] from your brethren. The Holgresh Fur is found in Velious as well on Holgresh in Wakening Lands. They range in level from about 31-42 I think. They also drop Holgresh wings used in the Clockwork Wathman Greaves, which have 10 charges of SoW. The Cog Boost is a 40% ATK Haste that lasts for 18 minutes. It will stack with permanent haste given by wearing items, but not with buffs/spells.
Hope this helps. Be safe, all.

I have hade a few gnome warriors test the effect. The cost of the class 5 mana battery used to recharge the armor is 52pp 5gp at the best price. You recharge the armor by combining it with one class 5 mana battery inside a deluxe toolbox. Both the class 5 mana battery and the deluxe toolbox can be bought in Iceclad at the gnome camp. The mana batteries are stackable. The deluxe toolbox is just a little over 1pp, and is a 10 slot box that holds extra large items. Good box for your bank if you don't mind the combine button.

ANYONE can recharge the armor, I have personally tested this. You don't need any tinkering skill to recharge it, don't even have to be a gnome.

If you are on Solusek Ro and you are interested in this armor, send me a tell in game and we can work something out. I have 177 tinkering skill right now. The armor is still very difficult to make, but I have made quite a few pieces.
how do you need ?
# Feb 27 2001 at 3:30 AM Rating: Default
how much are you selling this for ? or what items do you need to make one ?
RE: Cog boost is 40% haste, 18 minute duration...more info..

Silly question, but have you tried recharging the armor in a regular tool box, or must it be done in a Deluxe tool box?

I'd say it probably doesn't fit in a normal one

A regular tool box has capacity Giant. I'd speculate that it IS possible to recharge items in a regular toolbox.

RE: Cog Boost..?

What I hear is it's an insane Haste, like 40%. Dunno if that's true though, god I hope so, would make being a Gnome Warrior all worth while.
